I think what throws a lot of people is not realizing the fuselage is gimbaled under a very stubborn rotor which does not want to change direction or attitude. So when you land or depart on a runway which is not level or uneven, thE fuselage will move like, for lack of a better word, seesaw. This motion will manifest itself in a rapid fore and aft movement of the cyclic. Control the stick but don’t fight it. Expect it. Don’t fear it. Understand it and you will be okay.

I really like your style of explanation. Very simple but you cover a lot of ground in a clear manner. I dream of having a nice cross country gyro. Definitely to old to hang glide. Any advice on Lottery tickets ?

You said you would prerotate up to 325rpm yet you started the takeoff roll at 250 rpm. Will the brakes not hold you to prerotate to 325?
