Most gyrocopter accidents occur during the initial Takeoff or Landing stages of flight! Practicing and staying proficient during the critical stages of flight can reduce the risk of an accident during these stages of normal flight!

A fantastic advice about the box climb over the field - gives you immediate access to an emergency landing zone in case you have an engine out situation.

Wow Ron. So helpful. I took my gyro out yesterday evening in a nice steady headwind and had so much fun just flying the circuit with takeoffs and landings. Was amazed by how much wind resistance I experienced when doing a glide approach on final.
