Couldn’t agree more. Always makes the hair on my neck stand up. Those 3 note slides of his. Jerry played “happy” guitar, especially when he was playing Tiger like he wa here or when he played Wolf in the old days

Althea from the night before is fucking intense. Slow, yet fucking intense. This one is okay, but pretty rough in comparison. Maybe they were tired from the night before. I'm sure they were ALWAYS tired from the night before but still brought it.

Nice early version, but there were much more killer versions in the later 80’s after it had been performed over the years.

The earlier versions had a relaxed guitar and Jerry's voice was higher pitched. The 77-78 versions feel complete compared to later versions that 'rockified' it too much
