May have been the best concert experience of this ancient hippie's life. Opening bands of Marshall Tucker and New Riders just made this a magical experience. Woman getting helicoptered out to give birth was awesome.

I was 17.. my first of 170. I remember so much about that day. I didn’t know all the songs but I knew Bertha, Eyes, Truckin’, NFA and a few more. I was clearly in my element..

namez deletedone i was 13 and that element is where i would have liked to have stayed, in a small way, pretty sure a part of me did!

I was hardcore by that point. Became a fan in 72'. The only shows I saw that were more inspiring were at red Rocks in Colorado. Saw them play for 45 minutes in s driving rain, and the harder it rained, the harder we cheered.To just return to simpler times.

I was there brought my couch in ...the security thought it was funny and opened a side gate so we could carry the couch in over our heads. 100 yards back center left. What a day New Riders Marshall Tucker the the best show I ever saw Eyes and of course Terrapin. It was fucking hot that day.

Always one of my favorites I attended. This Eyes is one of the most melodic Eyes evah!!!! The day after the show, we drove home with the cassets as it was broadcast on the radio. Pleasure ride for sure!

BY FAR THE BEST VERSION OF THE BEST SONG OF THE DEAD!

You think so , how many hours you got , theres quite a few from 73-74 that are better , get your hands on them you will agree , theres a couple over 40mins long , but then again thats my opinion. Theres nothing better for your head than The Grateful Dead

A.J. Tate Best song is a BOLD, BOLD statement and I can't agree with that one. Terrapin, St. Stephen, DARK STAR??? But you are right, this is by far the best version of Eyes of the World.
@AJTate-bs6li9 жыл бұрын
rm1133 Yes Terrapin could also be number 1 for me, too.

+A.J. Tate It's a really good version of Eyes but there are better out there, trust me.

B.J. Funk What's the best version out there, out of curiosity?
@barbarianjoe9911 жыл бұрын
Notsure why, but the transition at 0:17 is what sets this version apart from others. Great vid!
@NancyDrewe11 жыл бұрын
Excellent show and vid. Thanks. From what my old man tells me, this was one of the best shows ever. And from the way Jerry is smoking hot hete, it sounds like it. Sigh, I am so missing going to real shows. Although Donna Jean's band helps one to cope. Thanks again, bro. :))

What about the four nights in Boston at the music hall 1976? 6-9 and 6-11 were killer versions.
