Amazing explanation ! Thank you so much sir ! 🙏. Every detail was mentioned methodically, stage by stage you have reasoned out every single feature asked in the question , made it so simple and easy to follow , although it was quite a lengthy numerical involving the COSINE rule, followed by the NAPIERS formula , expressing the vertex and intermediate point ? honestly ! I do consider this a very interesting and comfortable solution to the G.C sailing numerical explained by you with great effort n expertise to help many aspiring officers in the maritime industry ? Thank you very much indeed sir ! God bless you and your family immensely 😇🙏

You work is tremendously great, how ever Im watching over and over again but i could not imagine how are you going to plot your solving in actual chart or map, hoping in your next video tutorial,, transfering or plotting of great circle as actual line on a nautical chart,even just on large scale would be fine sir. Many thanks,

Thanks for your feedback Andro:) Please watch my video on gnomonic charts and you may get some idea. Otherwise, one day, I will try to explain this in my future video. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/pN2RitGjxpO-g3U.html

@SteeringMariners3 жыл бұрын
Pratima Tiwari you can choose any triangle. Either PAV or PBV. Make sure the vertex is included.

I understood the problems and how to do it but i have confusion with direction of d'long
@SteeringMariners5 жыл бұрын
Mohit, if you use triangle PVB, use the value of angle B = 50 deg; and PB to get angle P = 57deg 22.8 min. Vertex lies to east of B, so subtract angle P from long of B (64 deg W). The answer should be 006 deg 37.2 min West.

Have you got any evidence that great circle ⭕️ routes are circles and not straight line distances ? As you seem to be doing a whole load of unnecessary maths here for no reason, if you just treat it as flat and forget your sphere Belief for a minute then you would have an easier job. What is the purpose of the Haversine formula, is not to only mathematically add in a belief structure ?
