I am so disappointed with the Louvre. When I studied fine art I was taught art is anything you can get away with. People are art as well. So sorry they acted as Asses. It breaks my heart. You should have gotten yourself some perfume however. You should never just let security stop you before you try. You are beautiful and there is no reason to not be able to not go into any place to have what you desire. Both of you.

Think about it. A canvas painted blue with a red stripe down the middle. As soon as some one pays you money for it or hangs it in their place. It's art. Pile garbage in a gallery and call it an installation. If they go for it. It's art. Get it. The art world has masterpieces and pieces of work.

Aria S not my opinion but after living in Paris for a couple of years I know why. The people who work there probably see goth people (or anyone who dresses very differently) as not fit to be in a place like the louvre. (the way they dress is probably seen as a joke by the museum people thus disrespectful). (not my opinion at all so no one attack me)

Maybe because they would attract too much attention. You can see at 5:00 that they attract a looooot of people, and since the Louvres is a quiet place, it would has disturb the place.

Putting aside the fact that it's horribly discriminatory there is a logical and pragmatic reason. There is a lot to see at the Louvre, tour groups and crowds need to keep flowing, not clog the space. Only so many people at a time can see the paintings and it's frustrating when areas get over-crowded. They attracted enough attention to stop people and cause a distraction. In her other video she mentions that the staff said they could schedule a private tour. It still sucks though.

i don't know why they asked at all. so many holiday photos i took when all i had was a disposable camera i have ended up throwing away like pictures of animals or landmarks i have taken. if you are actually a fan of hers and watch her channel then yes by all means go say hi and ask politely for a pic but if you are just taking a pic because she looks different then it is the same as taking a pic of an animal at a zoo, you will end up throwing it away as it has no meaning because the only photos we tend to keep forever are ones with best friends or family in them

Depending on your mood, it can be fun, insulting, or inconvenient. A friend used to get so many photo requests that he refused to do it unless he was paid. It was a long time ago and it was surprising how much $$ he made. It would be a great way to move to Paris without a work permit for people who can handle exploiting themselves.

I don't really think she was uncomfortable, so much as... inconvenienced, because so many people wanted pictures, it meant they had to stop very frequently. I personally think it's kind of nice and flattering that people wanted pictures, instead of avoiding and insulting them. Usually, if people legitimately find goths scary, or weird, in a bad way, they resort to the second form of behavior, instead of politely asking and smiling. So... even if she didn't get great service from the guards and security there, at least the rest of the people were incredibly friendly.

TradGoth96 I commend thee. I got sort of harassed in Paris for having Blue hair. I hid behind my friend from them and they still were recording me, it was horrible. Yeah I have crazy hair, but I don't lose my rights for doing so, I'm a human not a side show.

TradGoth96 I agree with you, although Freyja is so nice, she probably won't ever charge. ^^ It is very annoying, watching the tourists in this video. They jump forward awkwardly for a picture, take it quickly, then zip away after an even more awkward "thank you". They'll probably never even look at it again.

Yeah I feel like the issue should have been pushed and someone should have been punished for such discrimination! How absolutely nasty of them to deny them into a museum. They don't know shit about art, those people need to be fired. I would've been furious.

i know right? To how many levels does it extend to? Goths are not welcome. How about transsexuals, people with prosthetics, girls who wear a kilogram of make up on their faces? What is accepted and what isn't? How does a person in the security dare to define what's normal and what should be allowed? I hope she once finds herself in a situation where people will tell her she's not accepted for what she is. I wonder how she feels then.

I'd guess a lot of them were tourists, not locals. Intermixed in there were likely some fans but I think the grand majority of the photographers were tourists

I'm so glad I don't get a bunch of people wanting to take pictures with me like that (although admittedly I NEVER go out except for groceries and such, and I don't live in a big city) because I'm extremely uncomfortable with cameras and as much as I want to break the stereotypes about goths being angry or rude or whatever I feel like if someone tried shoving a camera in my face I'd turn my face away and raise my middle finger at them.

I was thinking the same thing while I was watching it, but then I realized that unfortunately the practice is not going to stop just if they chose not to try it. There are some even more cruel culinary practices going on in France than this. We can only hope the new generations will change it all.

Have you seen videos of how pig or chiken live before they are killed ? For me it's a little bit stupid to say that animal dont surffer before and it's why fois gras is horrible. Try to think about what you eat.
