Tears For Fears was one of my favorite bands during the 1980's. The songwriting was impeccable, the musicianship was amazing (and I was a huge Prog Rock and Jazz fan back then too), and you could dance to their tunes! You should check out their song called "Bad Man's Song"!

This is probably their biggest hit, but my favorite is "Shout!"

This song, Shout, mad world, & head over heels are such iconic tracks from my teen years but I think I appreciate them even more now. I love the variety of songs you are checking out. It’s so refreshing seeing new generations check out & appreciate older songs…….i feel the same way in reverse by the way …. I wish older generations would also give new stuff a go as well 😆 One of my favourite bands -Palaye Royale does a cover of Mad World that is so good. I never fully realised the depth of the song until I heard that version even though I’ve heard it for over 30yesrs

Ian Stanley on Keyboards, Manny Elias on drums, neither were officially part of the band but both played on the first two albums, Stanley's contribution cannot be understated though, he played a key role in the making of the band's second album. The thing I've always loved about TFF is that their songs contain layers, Head Over Heels is a prime example, it starts with piano, electric guitar comes in and goes out, then the drums come in, along with synthesizers, it is a great example of how TFF layer their songs. I just saw them in Huntington Beach, they were awesome, and they still sound great.

When they first started it Roland and Curt and they had the Band , then with Seeds of Love Album they dropped the band members and its Just Roland Orzabal and Curt Smith as Tears for Fears

Nice reaction MD! A great, well crafted and produced song from a great album although apparently it was a last minute addition! I love the uplifting tune which gives an interesting contrast to the more serious lyrics. They did a charity version called 'Everybody wants to run the world' for Sport Aid which was a series of 10km mass participation runs around the world inspired by the Live Aid concerts to raise money for famine in Ethiopa. Probably their best known song. I love this band, despite the fact they aren't Pink Floyd!😀 My late wife used to grin from ear to ear as soon as it started - she loved it (as do I). Heads up for the Austin Healey 3000 soft top in British Racing Green too.

I like your channel alot man you seem like a real genuine person and I like hearing your thoughts on songs, but Tears For Fears are my favorite band/ duo and this is definitely my #1 song, and ya it is just Roland and Curt who started the band but they had other members that were apart of the band, Ian Stanley on keyboard and Manny Elias on drums then they split up in the early 90s as Roland carried the band name and made 2 albums on his owm in the 90s, Roland and Curt didn't speak to each other for nearly 10 years until 2004, then they went 17 years without making an album until 2022 with The Tipping Point. They have a different drummer and keyboard player now then from the 80s although both have been with the band since 2004! But either way Roland and Curt are icons of the music industry, literally zero baggage, and they have an astonishing catalog of great songs, there 7 albums are all different sounding they never do the same over and over! Anyway looking forward to more!

Since you asked... I would love for you to react to The CBC little clip and then Canadas reaction to The Tragically Hips last song of their last tour ever. Gord the lead singer was diagnosed and later passed and he wanted to give us Hip fans one last Canadian tour. It was televised commercisl free and i believe 80% of the population watched. Really tragic abd beautiful all at the same time❤❤
