In this video I take you through a very easy green salsa recipe that taste great.
Lay them out on a foil lined cookie sheet.
Yes, there's a red one, but it's going in too.
They are going into my oven at 550F set on broil for seven minutes. I'm starting off with them covered.
I'm not trying to get them charred, just softened them up a bit.
After seven minutes the tomatoes get turned over and back in the oven for five minutes uncovered.
That's just enough time that a few are just starting to brown.
Now I'm going to trim these up a bit and discard the undesirable parts.
Into the food processor they go.
Add ½ a diced white onion
One can Chipotles In Adobo Sauce 3.7 oz
I added 2 Tbs minced garlic or you can use 3 large cloves of fresh garlic.
½ tsp salt
2 good Tbs Lime Juice
Blend it in your food processor - Blend it as thick or thin as you like
You can see that the Chipotles definitely give this sauce a golden brown color - they also give it a great flavor
