Just wanted to show you how to improve the nova buggy clutch, this will help keep your clutch shoes free and stop the chaffing that occurs on the face of the flywheel...
Center washer size: 10mm OD, 7mm ID, 0.5mm Thickness

i'm old school - 3 shoe clutch..this video is a great tutorial / i will try 4-shoe on my next clutch replacement. Thank you ..your great tips really helps a lot.

Great information as always even tho i dont use them im sure others do i just use kyosho clutch bell an alum 3 shoe with washers an have no problems an do have a 4 shoe system just in case i get a sweet track bigg enough an has the traction ty

No other brands do work like the mugen and protek clutch bells work

Just curious why did you decide to use the Nova clutch? I was running the protech 3 shoe clutch for awhile but since the B3.1 I've really really been liking the adjustability of the Associated 4 shoe clutch

I was running the losi 4 shoe clutch and it worked well but the pins was to soft, they would strip out on the heads, so I tried the nova clutch and been liking it ever since. I haven't tried the adjustable ae clutch but It seems like a winner

Seems like a lot to get it to work right.. Is there performance gain for using the Nova clutch? Wouldn't it be easier just to use a TLR clutch? Was just wondering bc I was really thinking about buying the Nova Clutch but not so sure now

It’s a great clutch the shims just keeps the shoes from rubbing up against the face of the flywheel, even with out the shims I e never had a problem with the clutch, I was using the tlr 4 shoe clutch and the pins was just to soft for me, always stripping out and getting worn down to fast.

If u did not have the shims in there before, that could be the reason there was so much accelerated wear on those pins as well! I think after "bedding in" u should be able to notice a huge difference compared to running without shoe shims now that the alum shoes wont be galling up on the flywheel and create unnecessary stress on the pin/shoe pin hole! Aluminum on aluminum+heat+constant movement= galling which =inconsistent performance and accelerated wear After watching this vid i am going to do this mod since I am going to remove my nova clutch for its 2gal inspection after being on a 13lb vehicle with rb28 power A+++ on this vid! #Nitro4Life

Man throw that nova clutch in the junk pile and slap a reds on there and your done! Oil bearings as needed boom good! I’ll send ya some used extras I have if ya wanna try it out

ihave a prob with my reds clutch the aluminum shoes get stuck outward some times what would cause that??

Nitro Freak never heard of that or had the problem, have loved the clutch so far only clean up and debuir whenever it’s convenient. Was running kyosho 3 shoe and had to maintain before every use was a pain but now oil bearing and go

Adam Dyar Congrats on the gen 2, nothing was wrong with the 721 I still have it and will run it again, I just like to change up engines from time to time

How can u say bones oils are better than associated which is Lucas oil products? No big oil companies are in rc with proven products except luscas
