As promised once I hit 3,000 subscribers on my channel here is my 3K Q&A.
I picked out 10 questions from the many that you guys asked me ranging from how I got into KZfaq to answering the ever polarising question of who is the greatest player of all time.
Thanks to everyone who has liked, shared, and commented on my videos and an even bigger thank you to those who have hit that subscribe button.
Happy New Year everyone!
2024 is gonna be HUGE for this channel

Thank you again to all of my subscribers 🙌🏻 hopefully more of these Q&As in the future. If your question wasn't answered or you missed your chance to ask, then ask away and I'll do my best to answer you. Also, must be noted, I don't do everything for my content...I have a great guy (@xi40tong on IG) do my thumbnails cos I sucked at those. I do everything else 🙌🏻 Once again, thank you and Happy New Year 😊

I want to say that I’m surprised your channel doesn’t have tens of thousands of subscribers with the quality of content and research you do for each video. I enjoy watching badminton playing videos but there is a surplus of those and your channel seems to be the only informative badminton documentary channel on KZfaq. I appreciate not having to scour forums and news websites for badminton stories, and I’m constantly recommending your channel to my badminton teammates at school. I hope your channel blows up soon and reach more badminton fans!

Thank you for the kind words, and for recommending my channel to all your mates...appreciate that big time. Yes, I always thought there was a gap for this sort of badminton content. Something outside highlights, tutorials and racket reviews. Maybe one day this channel will grow to the 10s of thousands. I'll certainly work hard to get there. Thanks again for your support 🙏🏻

Your knowledge of competitive history of badminton is awesome! The last question could be a video all on its own, I didn't know Park Joo-bong until now given the limited content out there. Would love to see more of these, and other discussions like who is the GOAT, or who had the best prime, etc. Happy new year🎉

Akane is my fav also. Her cool demeanor on court combined with her style of play is amusing. I would love to see her go all the way in the Olympics, and maybe, just maybe, we will see a more expressive celebration from her, you know, as expressive as she can get hahaha. Well, I think an expressive celebration is going to be unlikely, but I'm just hoping. 😅

As a fellow Akane Yamaguchi supporter, I really appreciate it since I feel she is heavily underrated in spite of her long list of achievement. In any case, I really enjoyed your videos. Very well made and well researched. Thank you for making them. P.S. Is there a way to watch your older videos that have been deleted?

She is an amazing player, like I said, just something about her that makes me want to see her do well. I do still have those old videos on my computer but I won't be uploading. Instead I'll remake them with more detail and better production. One of them is going to be my first video of 2024 so keep your eyes peeled for that

Didn't know Park was such a successful player during his time! But it's very difficult to compare across eras, because the quality of the game itself progressed tremendously over the years. Actually, how the playing style evolved would be a big topic to dive into!
@BenBeckmanBadminton
@BenBeckmanBadminton 6 ай бұрын
One of the most successful players ever. Won pretty much everything except the Thomas Cup (which he won as a head coach in 2014 for Japan). Yes, comparing across eras etc is always difficult, it's why the GOAT conversation is not only tricky but some find pointless. Regardless, I'll definitely be doing a video on Park Joo Bong in the future

I wonder what ur opinion is on who would be the top if Lin Dan, Kento Momota, Viktor Axelsen, Chen Long, and Lee Chong Wei all in their absolute prime, play a league match in multiple court/shuttle conditions (such as different shuttle speed, different amount of drift. So each player will be playing 4 * the different conditions matches and the win rate will be used to get the top player). I wanted to ask this bit missed the opportunity.

Who was the best player u ever coached and what was it like coaching them?
@BenBeckmanBadminton
@BenBeckmanBadminton 6 ай бұрын
The best player I consistently coached and developed was Georgina Bland who played for England and became national champion a couple of years ago. What was it like...a pleasure, as she worked hard and was willing to listen. Other than Georgina, I've done some training sessions with players who are now competing internationally like Alex Green and Zac Russ, but I was not their main coach.

As someone who has played recreationally for clubs and started quite late on I've always been out of the circle of the top tier England badminton juniors/seniors scene. Was there ever anyone that England has produced in recent years that was amazing at a junior level (best in Europe), but never took on the sport professionally? I had a friend who one day told me he was England junior champion at U19 but quit due to an injury, hadn't played since.
@BenBeckmanBadminton

I can't think of any who were the very best in Europe as a junior then didn't take it further. Quite a few were in that boat then stopped a couple or few years later. Who was your friend who got injured?

@@BenBeckmanBadminton No worries, no hidden gems then for England we missed out on. Won't share his full name, but his name is Tim. Long time ago now, he'll be in his early 30s. Googling his name, looks like he actually won U17 2 golds and a silver, rather than U19
