Greek Bougatsa | Greek Custard Pie | Food Channel L Recipes

Күн бұрынI often go to Greece. I like been there a lot. The food in Greece is great! This is my interpretation of the famous Greek sweet Bougatsa! Super yummy, super crunchy crusts and semolina pudding inside!
Food channel L - a new recipe every Monday, Wednesday and Friday! Recipes for delicious and homemade food!
Ingredients for 10 servings:
1 litre milk
4 eggs
1 cup of semolina (150 g)
200 g butter
10 sheets of filo pastry
200 g sugar
1 tsp vanilla sugar

I cannot thank you enough for this recipe, exactly what I was looking for! I had this once in Greece a few years ago and it was the most delicious dessert I've ever had! I've been wanting to recreate it at home, but couldn't find an authentic recipe for the filling as I remembered it! You have a new loyal subscriber darling 🙏

Looks amazing but i saw in a cooking show that Greeks use a traditionally made pastry-sheet. I would prefer that one just do not know how its composition

Good definitely yes. But I just wondered isn't there another bougatsa recipe with a special cheese mixed into the custard also?

Hello! Yes, there is and is so, so delicious! I ate this kind of bougatsa in Crete and was amazing!

I am Greek and that’s not Bougatsa and if you decide to make this be sure to add a bunch of cinnamon on top with the powdered sugar
