The ludicrous story of the battle of the antelope court that caused issues all the way up to the SOCOM commander. #greenberet #specialforces

So ridiculous the amount of bureaucracy, time and money spent to get your ODA in trouble.
@ValhallaVFT2 ай бұрын
Yep, it was obnoxious. Total waste of time and money.

At a range once. Shooting competition. Maybe 50 guys shooting at once. A massive elk walks out of the woods off to the side of the targets and just chills out. I couldn’t believe it with all the shooting that was going on.

Sounds like some officers didn't have anything better to do. I've got a story I bet you'd appreciate that I'll share privately someday.

His ego was bruised. A marine officer, maybe yes. But I didn't know airforce officers get salty too

This story both sound like a really bad fever dream and an episode of Tropic Thunder 🤣

The ODA ( Operational Detachment - Alpha) versus the Antelope Episode was hilarious 😆, however, if You ever get the chance, I Myself wish to see a future - either Short - Range Immediate or Long - Range Distant ---- episode where You discuss Your Operations with either the Conventional Fleet Marine Force( FMF) , Force Reconnaissance Company in the Reconnaissance Battalion ,or , Marine Raiders of MARSOC. The Raison d'Etre for the request, is that, My Brother was an 0311/ 0321( Infantry Rifleman and Reconnaissance Marine) on Ona Point, Camp Schwab, 3d Reconnaissance Battalion, 3d Marine Division, Okinawa, Japan. He and His Unit often trained with 1st SFGA on Torii Station, where Celers, Silens et Mortalis meets De Oppresso Liber.

My first gunnery while in 2CR I accidentally smoked 3 deer at night qual with the 30mil Stryker, they werent moving and if you know what a vehicle target under thermals looks like it was identical. Even the tower thought it was a target so nothing happened to me

Reminds me of A-team when BA Barracuss and others got arraigned in front of a court. I'm sure the jury was shocked to see bulky sized men in uniform coming to a civvie court. By the way, were you an SF Baby(18X) candidate, or did you convert after a few years as regular infantry?
@ValhallaVFTАй бұрын
18x. First time go through the course. Fortunate to be one of the rare but have be a true all SF military career.

@ValhallaFirearmsTraining lucky MOFO. Underrated hack to E5 rank, respect, and E5 pay right out of the gate. Salty E3s, E4s who thought they'd get the chance to smoke you during basic, must've been shocked when you finished the Q course & was sent to Group

Maybe revamp the psyceval process for military service?

Can you do a video about PT test and training AFTER you became a GB ? ?
@ValhallaVFT2 ай бұрын
I think I took like 1 pt test in 8 years and it was for SLC, so we don’t really do much on the testing side lol.
@silkplayer92 ай бұрын
@@ValhallaVFT thank you for responding, I’m very curious how do you guy physical trainning in the Group, like everyone have to train together at a fix schedule or you can do whatever you want as long as you can do the job.
@ValhallaVFT2 ай бұрын
@@silkplayer9 varies team by team. Some teams do a lot of pt together that is structured, some just do pt on their own. Depends on whatever the team sergeant in charge wants to do. Everyone is expected to stay in excellent shape regardless though.
