Don’t pick the hardest training without understanding if you will enjoy the job you end up in. If you’re not interested in water missions and you like languages you might not enjoy being a SEAL as much as being a Green Beret.

Yeah...every Marine is taught to do this in boot camp. I've been a PMI for 34 years, and this is hardly impressive

Don’t worry! Trump is going to solve this too. He is going to f#ck up so much the economy for the middle class and the poor, that they are not going to have a better option than joining the military…

I did the military service in my country I was happy to do it. To this day, one the main jobs of the military there is to help its citizens in case of natural disasters. In my time living in this country I have never seen the military doing that in this country.

You can fight for your Country without being conscripted. I was in the service as a volunteer. There should never be a draft in a free Country, especially when the battle isn't on our soil. You look like you should already be grown up. I guess looks can be deceiving.

In all the podcasts and YT vids with Seals and SF operators, they are forbidden to fire on anyone until literally they get fired upon first, so its highly doubtful that Mr Willink would shoot a guy in the face when he had an AK hanging from his shoulder.

Too bad we can't "herd" that mob of migrants crossing the border from Mexico, into joining the Military. They're healthy, have great endurance and survival skills, they're not afraid to fight and they want a job. They would be perfect. " Service guaranties citizenship"😁 maybe the laws need to change.

I served in the Navy and back then the SEALS were nothing like the big mouths they are now, they were quiet and didn't go around bragging. I was on carriers and used to see them come in a lot on CODS or either Helos when I was in the 7th fleet, but they would disappear quickly, we never heard anything about them good or bad because they were so mysterious. Now days they are all over the place, podcasts, TV interviews, book signings, giving lectures about leadership, theater movies etc...They are a whole new generation of spec ops guys that live life differently than the old teams did.

Oh. For the looks of the comments no one wants to die to protect, gather, steal, and keep USA's citizens' (you) insatiable appetite for resources, war, death, and destruction quenched, correct? Hahaha. Listen, keyboard warriors. 93% of USA citizens do not serve. This means 7% of USA's citizens protect the USA's interest. So, non serving USA citizens, stop consuming resources and voting for warmongering officials, or pick up your cojones, strap your pants, and unbunch your panties. It is time for you to do something. It is time 93% of the population sees, feels, hears, tastes what you all hide from 1000s of miles away with your bellies full and warm. I can't wait to see 93% of the population serving. Earn your keep, non-serving, yet all resources consuming keyboard warriors. By the way, unlike what most non-serving USA citizens believe, you actually have to set foot in a battlefield to be a soldier since buying a weapon, putting your hand in your chest for a song, or stading for a piece of cloth, doesn't mean anything if you (93% of USA's population) are not willing to fight and not just in your imagination

Greek ex military officer here to give a new perspective. Most of the western countries hate their own men, putting a clever a capable guy into a fighting position against an enemy while you treated your own men like shit (and I mean it in the extreme way ) is a good way to send more men to the enemy's side . Also sending a woman to the frontline is a recipe for disaster cause if she make a mistake many men will try to save her this losing more capable people to save one. Sure there are some women that are built for this but they are the exception and not the rule and they're far too few

History's a rollercoaster. 100 years ago people thought the youth were soft (the roaring 20s) with hoity toity society, flappers, weird sounding (at the time) jazz, etc. Then the depression happened and discontent was at a high with distrust of banks, the government and even veterans organizing protests against the government (the Bonus Army). It wasn't until the US was attacked, Pearl Harbor, that the Americans by in large mobilized and got into a war mindset. And they suddenly became the greatest generation.

Funny how I f- up my right ankle before even joining the Army. I was running and almost got run by a bicycle, twist the ankle, second degree ankle sprain. It's been four months and it hasn't healed up, bunch of therapy sessions, but still not able to continue training. However, keeping it positive and taking notes from your videos, thank you for the advice, this one specially I'm saving it for studying later.

One, I think Gen Z and young Millennials are just coddled in the most prosperous and peaceful time in history. Think about the post Vietnam active duty military....2 million Americans volunteered for that military with another 1 million in reserve/Guard. That was an era that just returned from worse shit (as far as casualties and being drafted) than the GWOT with nuclear threats looming over their heads and they still joined. Good times makes weak people, essentially. All these people talking about "Oh, I want a government that loves me and gives me money/benefits/etc and I don't want to join up in a war".....well, in various other nations....some of those benefits and values all the people in here are whining about does exist and guess what? Young people still don't want to join up. When polled, most Europeans would straight up flee and refuse to fight a defensive war. And for all the trash they talk about the US, they still expect the US to come in and save them. Simply put, it's politically incorrect to say this but the modern culture and environment is dominated by leftist oriented people who don't know how to incentivize men and encourage patriotism, masculinity, fighter/warrior mentality, etc. Therefore, men don't see any value in defending that society nor to become warriors. Then, yeah, if there isn't a pay increase to match this bad economy, people might want to try their hand at some other job where they don't have to move and live in the barracks until they make a certain rank.

As of 2022, there were approximately 1,205,087 prisoners in the United States. This includes 157,314 federal prisoners and 1,047,773 state prisoners. Would this be an option? Maybe a dangerous one though? Can I get peoples insight to this?

Oh s*** I was supposed to register as soon as I turned 18? 🤣🤣 I'm about 5 1/2 years too late for that 🤣🤣 and I'm not going to fight for a country just for a bunch of people here at home to ruin it for me when I get back. Fuck that shit. I love my country I don't love who the f*** my fellow countrymen are putting in charge to run it though. And as long as we got a worthless sleepy potato in the White House my ass is not going to do any fighting. And the US government can take that s*** to the bank. And plus I don't want to fight in a military that is just corrupted with politics especially identity politics.
