I think it would be fun if you did a Portal inspired base, basically a massive underground laboratory with just a shack in a wheat field visible on the surface.

That quest was for if you lose your healing axe. The original quest to get one is in the food chapter and does require the gardens (among other things).

Magic forest looks really cool, but with amount of infrastructure even before void (if you want to move to the void again) it will be difficult to keep it pretty

If he makes "houses" for machines and keeps a lot of it underground it should be possible. Or if he makes a medieval base kind of thing

the last time i played the pack i got the base build at the mystic groove, the pack is already a pain by itself, playing at 100% humidity is a releif, and i like those colours too :)

Great vid! Just a remind since i do think u forgot. U can find the real healing axe quest on the category "Fishing, Farming, Cooking" in the top right corner. The one u were looking is needed if u loose the first one that the real quest gives you. Sorry for bad eng, keep up the good work

I'm not very in the Mod pack, but I think it might be a cool idea to set the Base in mystic thingy biome, where I would build a big School of Magic like theme, like Raya Lucaria or Hogwarts, with a big Sorcery Tower in the middle

I'm playing on your seed and I'm gonna go for the mountainside underground base with a big cylinder cut in the middle of the valley for launching rockets. Kinda like Three's keyhole base but simpler because I am a noob.

I suggest on top of the hill between the magic forest and the Brushland, would be really cool because each way you look is a different biome.

Using the same seed as you, there is a temperate rainforest closeby X:437 Z:623 Y:70 gives 120% humidity, its not overall big but alot of tall trees etc

Surround the tower with a nice wall, and build multiple buildings inside of it. Travel outdoors between them with each building a different functionality!

5:00 beef wellington was surprisingly simple for me: raw meat, white mushroom and a spinach (or other thing the name of what I don't remember). GregTech pork/beef sandwiches are also great, just some bread to bake.

Building a base in a sacred oak would be interesting too. Since you can get one from the quest for the saplings. But might be way to small for all gt machines. Dont know, which giant tree the sacred oak was. I know, there was a large one and a tree as big as a biom, but I think that was in Industrial Forgoing

So far im following the playthrough and i got to the coke oven + disovered a chalcopyrite vein, the only plan i have for a base is just a hole in a mountain or a factory that i will build in steam/LV age, as right now im just in a hole underground with 3 furnaces, 1 bed, 4 chests and a bunch of tables from tinkers

the healing axe quest is in the food tab and is called hunger no more

And you are correct, you need 8(?) of each garden type, and they get consumed as part of the quest. Alongside a lot of tofu and several complicated meals.

Hey Kharax, i was wondering if you used the journey map teleport for waypoints or waited to get teleport technology? You inspired me to start my own playthrough and i was wondering how you did it. Love the videos keep it up!

I'd recommend using the teleport waypoints and Server Utilities /homes . Don't put unnecessary restrictions on yourself, the pack is based around tech and magic progression, not transportation, so most people who actually play the pack don't consider it cheating

You were looking at the wrong quest for the healing axe, that was for getting another axe.

I downloaded this mod pack again, but I cannot open the FTB chunks mod. It says you need to set it in the config. What should I do?

It's somewhere in the configuration settings for server utilities. You have to turn on chunck loading and claming in one of the settings.
