Middle finger flicking is my favorite deployment method, but on crk knives I really dig the single sided stud. Can’t really tell you why, but I do lol...everything else needs double lugs

Beautiful knife i love my norsman its one of my favorites grimsmo does a great heat treatment ive had mine a year and it still doesnt need sharpening although mine is rwl34 enjoy using it

Thumbstud on both sides for sure for me as well. Really cool the star pattern continues through on the lock bar.

Totally agree re the double-sided thumb stud. I notice that the Slysz Rat has a single-sided stud, which allows for a lot more access to the lock bar as you don't need to create scallop/curve to permit space for clip-side stud. I'd certainly sacrifice huge lockbar access to get that clip side stud....but I think that's the design rationale, particularly for thinner knives. Now for the norseman, where you have so much space clipside, there really is no reason not to have double-sided stud.

If a knife is going to have a thumbstud it should have two. Doesn't make sense to have only one. Thanks Jake

Never really floated my boat (and I like different) ...... but that double bounce on close ...... everytime, combined with the hollow springy twang resonance from the stop pin and scales just deal breaker for me (that and the money). That double bounce can happen on some Spyderco compression lock knives with the bushing but not as bad.

I really dig how they’ve taken us along with them on their KZfaq channel. They don’t act like everything is “top secret”. It’s cool how I can look at my Norseman and remember watching them obsess over a certain aspect of the knife they weren’t happy with until they got it just right. Have a lot of respect for them because of that. Wish more companies would do that. As far as price I think they’re good. All of that equipment, building and a few employees just isn’t cheap. As a business owner myself it’s sort of surprising to me they can build them for under a grand.

I’ve wanted this knife in my collection since I first got in to EDC gear based solely on the blade shape. What a shame it costs to much yet offers so little in comparison.

This is avery well made knife, just don't understand the presence of thumb studs when you have a flipper tab if they don't make contact on the scale to add lateral solidity.

Your NOT missing out on alot ! The opening action & the ergo's of the Norseman ARE amazing but it has a SERIOUS flaw ! That bounce upon closing the knife is NOT right and SHOULD have been addressed & FIXED by JG quite some time ago [IMO] ! There are literally NO other ''custom'' knives in that price range [or even BELOW it] with the same weird ''bounce'' to them ! I also wanted 1 REALLY badly and eventually I got 1 & though the opening action is phenomenal ,I found after a month or 2 of carry that I just couldn't live with that bounce SO I traded it off for a better knife with NO serious flaws like that then I waited a while an acquired another and AGAIN the bounce killed it for me an that was my LAST JG purchase ! UNTIL he can address & FIX the flaw I personally WILL NOT be getting another ! Just my 2 cents !

Regarding blade steel not being worth $300... You love the Roosevelt though right? That was my main sticking point with that knife, because as I remember, Zfinit Is basically similar to S30v on edge retention... I still love it and will get one though.

Yeah I think OZ should offer a higher tier steel as well, the focus of zfinit is corrosion resistance, which I don’t think is the priority of most of its users. But that knife bases at $500 which is considerably less than the grimsmo and I would take zfinit over CPM154 or RWL34 personally.
