Didn't like it. Too much ego stroking. Should've edited the 6 episode series into 2 hours. Got tired of reading the subtitles, Script could've been shorter. My first netflix thumbs down for 2024.

They should have portrayed Griselda how she really was, ruthless. Showing her life as a child growing up briefly and all the bad things she experienced could have shown the audience how she became who she was

The Netflix’s series definitely humanized her. I would have liked for them to portray her more deadly and ruthless. They also downplayed her drug use. Other sources cited her as a full-blown addict as a teenager.

They made Griselda more humanized for wider appeal. If the show portrayed her as savage as in real life, maybe they felt that the show would have no sympathetic core. Cocaine Cowboys Part 2 is a great retelling of her reign.

I think you need alot more than just that to get her full story. The truth is the shows far closer to facts than the godmother movie was...and alot better I'd say haha. But so much was wrong with that movie. Knowing so much about her before any of that came out it bugs you . Not to mention I felt the deaths n endings were all too rushed with zero humanity . No doubt about it she could be ruthless but there's no doubt about the fact she was a mother who did love and care for her children. Then again every one person has both good and bad . And alot of grey. Noones made up of black n white. But everyone's levels of good and bad differ

I found it funny when the guy in that doc literally went from on the corner dealing to her giving him 100 kilos per week making him millions, paying tons just for visits they had not to mention the gifts and he made the choice to mix business and pleasure with her knowing who she was already..then is confused when she's upset about him sleeping with another women he met even at the prison while going to see her...sometimes I think men have a part of their brain missing...how did he not at all understand why she saw that as unloyal...his words r like..well I pay you don't I lol ok you didn't rob her who gave you the whole opportunity to make millions to even attract that girl in the first place most likely, telling Griselda who much he loved her... something he started..I understand her reaction isn't the norm but I never get when guys can't see things. Isn't it simple to see..I don't know if it's ego,greed or plain stupid. Maybe all . 😂

I was confused because there are many pictures of Griselda with Michael Corleone when he is a teenager but the movie ended with him being no more than 7 years old??? Also, I wish the series would have shown her getting out of prison and going back to Columbia and then we should have seen her assassination!

1st I wanna say - I think Sofia Vergara did an amazing job, probably her best acting to date, though the Netflix portrayal of Griselda IMHO wasn’t as ruthless & sociopathic as legends & other doc-u-dramas have made her out to be. I personally liked the movie “Cocaine Godmothers” portrayal better starring Cathryn Zeta-Jones, to me, that is how I pictured Griselda’s character. 2nd - I wish Netflix has stretched this out like the did Narcos series. I think they could have really dived into this and stretched this out for a couple of seasons. For such an infamous drug lord character, more should be known about Griselda, Lastly, The actor who played Carlos Lehder should have been played much more psychopathic, he too, like Griselda seemed tamed down compared to legend & folklore.

I thought It was good limited series. Could have used more of the Colombia days backstory, and swish they showed her getting out and going back to Colombia. But SV did great in the role even tho she didn’t much resemble Blanco, but the cast was great.

I think that this type of series should raise awareness of the society that we do not want for future generations of Colombians, there is nothing of national pride in a person like Griselda. On the contrary, we must think about how we as a Colombian society can change these types of realities, they are not heroes and there is nothing to be proud of! That should be the message of the actors and the serie.

Sorry but you got a few things wrong in this video..her own son , men she worked with, many accounts talk about her and Pablo being friends...he used to write her in prison..also they didnt gloss over new york..they do talk about it in the show. My thoughts too. I read an article about her a few years ago and watched the lifetime movie with Catherine Zeta-Jones. The article said she was extremely ruthless, paranoid, drug addicted, and would swing both ways and had dozens of lovers. The article interviewed one of her workers who was also her boyfriend.

I feel like Sofia did an incredible job, I normally dont like her acting as I feel its always the same character w/comedic tendencies and a focus on her accent... but this was a complete departure from how she usually is and I enjoyed it. I’m Colombian & my entire family comes from the same city/neighborhood that ms blanco is from & trust me that story isn’t entirely true! Netflix tried but failed. The accent isn’t the same & they made it seem like she had a lot of female Allies which is a lie to an extend. Still need to finish watching but it’s hard when we know the real story.

Its like people forget that "La Viuda Negra" came 1st with the one the only" kate del castro" best to ever do it ...its like they also came out with a tv series few years back called "blackwidow" or something like made for tv BS...yall better get wit the program😂😂..and know real Noveals ...im mean Sofia is definitely 😍bad and a Awesome actress when it comes down to this kate did it better.....#js

When I first started watching the show, I was like, “Is that Sofia Vergara? Her nose is different-it’s bigger, her eyebrows are too close together and the eyebrow hairs are like brush bristles, and her skin is dry and rough-looking, and her teeth look way different.” I even brought up the sitcom “A Modern Family” to compare them both. 😂😂😂 So then I searched for vlogs about the series: I found out they did all those “changes to her face” on purpose with make up and even prosthetics-to make her more realistic to the real Griselda. That’s why everything was off! 😂😂😂 That was great make up and prosthetics work! 😅😅😅 Anyway, I liked the series, but I agree with some of the comments here-it was rushed. They should have told her story from childhood so we understand what made her what she became: a ruthless, ambitious woman. Still, she claimed here that she did everything for her sons… But who in their right mind can think/believe that’s what it was only? She loved the power and control, and she did not know when to stop. Her demise was doing the drugs herself-they made her lose it all: the control, the power, her sons.

They took way too many liberties with the facts.I stopped watching it after the first episode. The truth is way better than playing loose and fast with the facts. Her mother turned her out to do tricks at an early age at 10 or 12. Her real life was a Gothic horror story.

Miami vice and Scarface are depicting her. She was a major deal back in the day. The way they portrayed her in this movie was sexist and full of woke bs. She was ruthless. She was known as the black widow killing 3 husbands. She murdered her 1st husband with a screw driver. They portrayed her as weak and scared. Which she was not. This is more entertainment than actual events. She ruled by force and terror.

They showed her weak and fearful. she was the opposite. Evil, ruthless, ruled by force and terror. This is entertainment not actual events.
