Hey Arne, I was your first opponent on the Temur Sneaky Order, and this was my match to clinch Mythic for the season. I've enjoyed your channel quite a bit over the last year so it was a joy and challenge to run in to you on the ladder. I was quite lucky with the top decks, but I'm glad you approved of my sideboard Uro/Minsc plan. Loving the format and really enjoy your analysis, thanks for the content!

Watching Pros, like Arne play timeless, with all the micro decisions, interactions and best practices from the other formats the cards are legal in, is way more educational than streaming standard/explorer. Arne thinking out loud on every game phase is just the best mtg school :)

14:15 - Maybe you point this out later in the video, but unless I'm mistaken, you can still Unholy Heat the Halfling here before swinging with all. If they don't block, you can use the treasure from Ragavan to cast Bowmasters and win, and if they do block, then they don't have any outs. I'm loving the Timeless content though, and I'm glad to see you trying out a deck with Lurrus (which, I'll admit, is my favorite card)!

game 1: May have been better to unholy heat the halfling? if they block ragavan with druid, you stop N.Order. if they dont block, they're dead with the treasure + remaining land + bowmaster

What are your thoughts on Temur Battle Rage, Demonic Tutor and stuff like, the Goblin that gives a card in your hand haste? I feel like in slower matchups you can Sometimes our of nowhere 1 shot someone, aswell as consider instead of Brainstorm to better threaten kroxa or turnes on heat/dragon rage channeler?

I'm personally finding this to be the best deck in the format. I've made minor tweaks, but I've tried traditional rakdos midrange and the Jund with goyf. While fun, they are not nearly as consistent. If played well, deaths shadow really does put in work. You must answer it with a fatal push at 9 life, or start chumping. Eventually you run out of chump blockers.

I have no idea how such a format plays since I never played Legacy or Vintage or even Modern so having someone with experience break down these completely broken cards and decks is a huge plus.

Blood Moon out of the board is going to become increasingly common for these midrange decks, it does so much work against all the Lurrus and 5c decks. With Shadow you gotta remember to fetch Swamp early and maybe even have a Feed the Swarm or Annul in the board to answer postboard Moons.

Having to decide what to delve away for Treasure Cruise in my Grixis list featuring DRC, Unholy Heat, Deathrite, Mystic Sanctuary, and Lurrus is a nightmare. Well, it would be, if I hadn't resigned myself to giving up there.

The line at 33:20 is what differentiates a good from a very good player. The game is basically lost, Arne is at sub-2/3% to win the game. The only win-condition is to luck out on the Unholy Heat, dashing Ragavan, somehow Drown the next spell and try to tempo from there. Arne, a very good player, correctly finds the desperation line, triggers it, fails, and concedes. The good player dashes Ragavan, tries to 2-1 themselves to deal with the board, and inevitably loses the card advantage game.

12:45 opponent showing temur colours and 2x atraxa in hand. Im thinking here what I can lose to in this game. Only card that instantly pops to my mind is Sneak Attack, and by unohly heating 1 mana dork , they dont have mana to play and activate.

Watched the last video. The deck looked sweet so I made it. Get to the end of the video and you’re not liking it. I should’ve watched first! That being said I’m 5-1 with it in bo3s so far and I needed the cards for other decks I’m the format anyway so no harm no foul just funny

with the exception of one ring, and even that may not be playable, doesnt look like u can really play cards that cost more than 2 in this format. "no bans guys! fun right?" i mean yea its cool for now, but there is a reason why formats get bans. if one thing is too strong people dont have fun and if people dont have fun they quit the format and then the format dies (legacy). so i hope they actually do try to maintain the format somehow. restrictions are a good start i like restricting things more than banning
