@@edizicu9853 on DND people have stats like wisdom, intelligence, strength, ect The higher the stat the better roles you get for it but if your stats are low enough you get bad roles more often

The thing i love the most about the show, is i know why specific things happened. For example, Pike losing her astral projection was because Ashley Johnson lost her internet connection during a video call in to the group while playing.

Scanlan's is the cool older brother Grog never had, especially in season 2. He has to put up with his antics making him mature in comparision, and it's glorious. Helps that Scanlan is the oldest member in the group.

Fun fact, it was not Travis providing the giant burp at the beginning. From what I understand, it was Laura and Ashley making burps, played over each other, and pitched down a bit. So yeah, the ladies of Critical Role provide the big disgusting burps. Reminds me of my own family.

...the original god of war came out in 2005 for the playstation 2. the home game of critical role started two years before the geek and sundry run of the show did, which would be 2013. kratos came first by 8 years. who's uncultured now?

Technically true, though Grog's design is lifted right from the D&D Goliath design, introduced in 2004's Races of Stone guidebook. Kratos also only ever had a goatee rather than the full beard Grog had until Kratos suddenly swapped to the beard in 2018. This is a Black Cat/Catwoman situation, where DC's Catwoman existed as a character first but copied the look of Marvel's Black Cat after she came out. Kratos might predate Grog, but Grog's race design predates Kratos as does Grog having his full beard predating Kratos' beard. If we're culturing people, might want the full details.@@sigurdgram

Ok…here’s the thing. Grog was so funny on the streaming games because Travis is a master of improvisation and timing. Travis knew when and how to make Grog stupid, and when to make him hella awesome! It’s doesn’t entirely translate to a scripted cartoon, even though they tried their hardest. Seriously, look up compilations of Grog’s funniest moments during Critical Role and you’ll be rolling on the ground for hours!

amazon prime. a bunch of professional voice actors have a stream where they play a d&d game. they ran a kickstarter for an animated special based on their first campaign. it did so well, and broke so many kickstarter records, that amazon picked it up as a series, with two seasons out so far, and more on the way, plus their second campaign is in production for an animated series as well. Everybody plays the characters they play at the table, and the DM usually shows up at least once an episode as an NPC.
