Roger and Ann-Margaret were the stars of Tommy, but if you put an opportunity like this in front of Moon... Moon had his assistant/handler Dougal sitting next to him, making no effort to stop him. Imagine needing someone to look after you all day.

Imagine if an artist were to behave like Keith today.... They'd all gang up on him and trash talk his career into obscurity... Cause real rock and roll isn't allowed anymore. It's too dangerous. Watching today's "stars" is like watching a production "under his eye" of the Handmaid's Tale.

The dude was just being himself. What is with this "real rock and roll" shit? When you put labels like that on it you ruin it. Nobody was calling it "real rock n roll" back then they were just calling it Keith Moon's personality. There are a lot of things about that era that were amazing and iconic but they only worked in that time period. If people acted like that today it wouldn't make sense & wouldn't be as "cool" as it was back then. Leave the past in the past. Love the guy but we really don't need another Keith Moon.

@@kathypop4 WRONG... If some one like Keith Moon came along today, It would be VERY FUCKING COOL.... but dweebs, Right WIngers, Christian Zealots, and teeny boppers would be frightened, and to that I say YESSSSSSSSSS! cause rock and roll is supposed to shake you up and make you a little nervous. It's supposed to be dangerous... If you want "safe" go listen to some justin Beiber. People like you are killing Rock and roll. You want to tame it... but its a wild animal that will die before it allows people like you to put a leash around its neck.

Man, Roger’s face when they announced the winner was priceless. I Loved the movie, the music, The Who, and Keith Moon’s drumming (as well as Kenny’s in the soundtrack), but I would have loved to hear Ann and Roger accept the award without Moon’s annoying disruption. At least everyone else here likes it. I find it a cringey stealing of attention from Ann and Roger.

Keith always had to be the center of attention. I love his drumming but he was not always funny and charming. This was one of those times. It was just dumb. I find it disappointing that he couldn't get his life together for the sake of the music and The Who group as well as the fans supporting him.
@markvaught672

I couldn't agree more. Nowadays Pete Townshend and Roger Daltrey generally tend to speak of him in reverential tones. He was a great drummer. He was so hilarious. Etc etc.. However, I can't imagine the day to day reality when he was alive, between the years 1965-1978, always being just a great big laugh. I can't believe that. There had to be times when it was a royal pain in the ass to have to deal with his constant bullshit. Cute my ass. I'd of slammed my fist into his face on more than a few occasions. Fun is great. His antics at times had to have been hysterical. But not all the fucking time. Oh well, having said all that, still got nothing but love for the obviously sick delusional man. Lol

@@jasonph2522 Go fuck yourself. I just don't tolerate nonsense in adults for too long a time. Certainly not as long as it would appear Mr. Moon seemed to go on day after day. Also I would've attempted a forced period of sobriety when the business (the band etc.) was at stake. If he didn't like it? Well sorry Moon old boy, we're shopping around other drummers. Man up or time to go. Either grow up or goodbye my friend.
