Group Climbing Session! V5- V8 Boulder Projecting!

Күн бұрынJoin us for another group session at Alta Boulders! I again decided to keep almost every climb and conversation in this edit to take you along for the whole session. It's a lot of work, but I hope you all enjoy. I know I definitely like hearing and watching other climbers analyze and break down climbs and honestly wish their videos were longer. In this session we climb a long roof traverse, several comp wall boulders, project a V8, send Ash's Green V4, and then Uriah projects a crimpy V5 on some sweet kilter holds. I hope so too! That first session definitely went better than expected. Would love to try the second half of the boulder even if we can’t get through the crux

When setting routes do you know beforehand which grade you're targeting or do you just make a route you like then grade it?

We try to make sure there is a good distribution of grades in the gym, so on setting days, we have a short list of grades we try to aim for as we are setting. Setters will choose what grades from the list they'd like to set, and get to work.
