On the Western outskirts of Tokyo lies a city at the foot of the mountains. A dedicated drift team calls this place home. Group K, who I had met just a week and a half beforehand at Ebisu drift matsuri had invited me to visit their touge. This is the footage I captured.
Street drifting in Japan, although illegal, is commonplace. Precautions are taken with the use of two-way radios, spotters with signal lights and waiting for traffic to clear the road in front. Despite this, street drifting is still a dangerous activity.
