How to grow green peas shoots microgreens

Steps:
Pre soak: 12-24 hours
Germination: 2-3 Days (Depending on room temperature)
Blackout Time: 5-6 Days (Total)
Harvest time: 3-7 Days
This method uses coconut coir as media & a liquid fertilizer. Step by step guide from seed to harvest. They are easy to grow indoors, in the trays you have at hand. Common green peas from the grocery store are used as seeds. Great way of raising fresh greens in the middle of winter to enhance salads
Other common names: Mater vatana green peas
Microgreens are smaller than baby plants and bigger than sprouts, they are harvested few days just after becoming sprouts. Microgreens can be grown indoors in small spaces & it needs is few hours of direct sunlight through the window.

I love them stirfried in olive oil with lots of garlic. I like to add a handful of bean sprouts If I happen to have any.

4 days in dark. 2 more with dark in lid. then light for a until day 10 or 11 harvest. change water almost every other day.

Thanks for the sub! The seeds I used are regular peas from the grocery store. There is no need to buy special seeds from specialty stores.

It is possible to reuse but it is a bit of work. The medium gets full of roots and is hard to get the roots out unless you let it dry in the sun for few days and then try to clean up the roots.

Did you have to mist or water at all during the 3 day germination phase after the initial soak?

The 3 days that the seeds are under the weight, I do not mist or water. Before I put the weight on, the medium is nicely soaked with water to last 3-4 days.

Did you add fertilizer to the water for the first and second growths? What kind? I have some 20-20-20, is that OK?

No fertilizer is really needed. The seed has lots of nutrients to sustain the micro green phase.

The light I've been using is LED T5 Linkable Utility Shop Lights. I got this from Amazon & use it for my seed starting also. It works for our needs. Light spectrum of 4000k is enough for microgreen growth. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07TYJ22QJ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
