wow, this is refreshing. Articulate, no cutesy hats or vaudeville; just literate, clear, concise instructions. Almost a lost art. I don't know who you are, but thanks. One of the most well done instructional videos i've ever seen.

Just assembled mine & can't wait to use it! ...Sadly I told myself I didn't need one of these and I've been working wood over 30 years... My fingers finally met the blade and got me 11 stitches and a broken bone but I get to keep my fingers and make an almost complete recovery. Just got my stitches out and I should be back to the woodshop within a week!

Nicely done.. Just got my new GRR-RPPER 200 and it really is a game changer --- cuts are so much more accurate and clean...and this tool is really comfortable to use.. if that makes sense!! Larry

Larry, it does make sense. One of the best features of the GRR-RIPPER is that it makes my shop time more comfortable and enjoyable since I am not worried about my digits. I still respect the saw and am careful, but I am more relaxed at the saw and router table.

DisparateDan, as my university woodworking instructor said, he'd never met a blinded woodworker, but he'd met a great many hard of hearing and virtually deaf woodworkers. Hearing protection is at least as important as eye protection. Young people don't appreciate the price they will pay in 15-20 short years.

I feel really really dumb. A month ago I payed $200 for a dust collection addition to my sawstop that goes over the blade. Then for Christmas I got a gripper. When I finished putting together the gripper I realized that I can’t use both, but I really want to use the gripper. Now I don’t know what to do.

My only problem with the Grr-Ripper is that the main body does not sit higher above the table saw surface to provide more overhead clearance to protect it from the saw blade. When I was new to using the Grr-Ripper I discovered the saw blade was biting into the "ceiling"/underside of the Grr-Ripper and starting to destroy its. The device should either be made taller with longer legs or provide a way to easily elevate it so it can always completely clear the saw blade, even if the blade is set at its maximum height.

The taller you make it, the less stable it becomes, so it's a trade-off.
@alchemista2

@@koulieathens7300 the blade height shouldn't be more than half the clearance of the gripper, if it's hitting the top then you probably have your blade height set too high
