_________________________
These agility & skills courses/exercises are designed to help develop the fundamental riding skills of clutch, throttle, brake and active balance by the rider.
Precise practice in coordinating these techniques can lead to instinctive/reflexive actions by the rider and allow for more precise control of the motorcycle.
Mastery of these techniques allows the rider to more smoothly transition the bike when cornering as well as being able to react reflexively when encountering unexpected changes in surface traction in off road conditions.
Depending on your skill level, you may want to make the courses larger to feel more comfortable while you develop these skills.
Performing these exercises carries a risk of dropping your motorcycle which may result in damage to you or your motorcycle. Always be sure that your bike has the proper crash guards and that you also wear the appropriate protective gear.

Thanks very much. 🤝 This video was a lot of fun to make. The more we can contribute to elevating the abilities of all riders around the globe … the safer and more fun our sport/passion becomes. The GS Trophy exemplifies what it means to fine tune skills and become better riders … but any rider on any bike can hopefully use these ideas to improve.

@@advmotoskillz Can you tell me if this 5 meters U-turn can be made with any motorcycle? I train hard with my Tiger 900 Rally pro but I can't do less than 6 meters... Maybe the GS is easier? Moreover, your swaying seems not to be excessive for such a tight U-turn.

@@LaurentLombardMusic 😅It comes down to technique.. Yes, a Tiger can make a 5M U-turn. The first few successful 5M turns, at the apex of the turn, it will feel like you and the bike are going to fall to the inside of the turn. So the aim with a few of these exercises is no hand on the throttle but using one handed clutch control. I guess there'll be lots of small clutching to prevent the bike stalling.
@advmotoskillz
@advmotoskillz 3 жыл бұрын
Hi Charlie. Yes, Rope Around A Tree is 100% friction zone with clutch constantly in & out. All of the other exercises have a heavy focus on friction zone control. A great way to practice this technique is actually walking next to the bike letting the clutch in & out without use of the throttle (certainly cover the front brake for safety). In our Elephant Turn Practice video kzfaq.info/get/bejne/nbtnhryJktDLYoU.html there is an example of this process. Thanks for the great comment...you are right on

Every bike/brand has different configurations for sure. Emergency procedures should still be practiced in order to have proper body positioning to help ensure the best possible outcome when hard braking skillZ are needed. 👍

A "foot dab" is when you quickly put a foot down to help clear a technical section or to help regain your balance if you feel you are about to tip over. "Dab" for short... 👍

Not bad.....some of the same stuff we do on our Harleys when doing competitive riding. I wonder, because of the low center of gravity of the BMW, how much better I could perform? 🤔🤔🤔
