What are the hardest bikes to ride? It has to be heavy, tall, and on imperfect roads: ADVENTURE BIKES. I find Jocelin Snow, BMW GS Trophy challenger, to show me how. She's shorter than me and can handle heavy bikes too tall for either of our feet to touch the ground. If anyone can show us how to be a better rider, it’s Jocelin.

Owning that mission!! Go get em. Serious question, why did the build these bikes so big and top heavy?? There has to be a reason. I’ve heard they are difficult to ride even for seasoned veterans, and the learning curve is steep.. CONGRATS!!!!

Some of your videos have made me cry, and this one was no exception. I lost my 21-year old son in 2018 when he lost his battle with depression. Learning to ride a motorcycle in 2020 at age 55 literally saved my life after my son passed. I have had to overcome so much fear and put in so much work this last year and a half to go from riding a little Honda 250 to a behemoth bagger. You have inspired me from the beginning because of videos like these. You humbly show your willingness to push past fear, to keep getting up when knocked down and to never give up...this has helped me so much and inspires me more than you could ever know! Thank you, Carolyn, from the bottom of my ♥️

Jocelin has been an inspiration to many of us mini-sized riders. As I've said many times before there was youtube or the internet, I had learn all the techniques Jocelin teaches by trial and error... which means I dropped my first bike A LOT... Great job Doodle... 👍🏼

Indeed , no fear of dropping the bike is a big thing. Miss Snow practices like a cirque du Soleil artist. Just over and over again . For us to be inspired by. Beautiful backyard. Such is impossible in Europe nowadays. Noise pollution , neighbours , insurance , government approved training area , .... But I hope salesman in Europe are friendlier compared to the one that wouldn't sell her the gs. ( Maybe the seller had a low-confidence complex about something small shaped himself)
@RonConsumer

@@tpilot_error404 I still drop my ADV off-road on some of the technicals hence crash bars and bash plates... lol I think it's more a male thing to size up a person and think they are helping by recommending what you should be riding rather than keeping their mouth shut and listening to what the customers riding experience is... Jocelin had years of riding taller bikes prior to her getting a GS but I bet the Salesman didn't even know that.

@RonConsumer
@RonConsumer 2 жыл бұрын
@@tpilot_error404 Generally, here in the states that happens with kids buying literbikes a lot because most salesmen are looking at their monthly quotas and not really concerned if it is too much bike for a person... but it's a pretty commonplace for guys to make a judgment when it comes to women riders.

100 points for going to the absolute expert (and sexiest) ADV rider in the world for advice! Motorcycle riders come in all sizes and everything Jocelin ever said about riding is relevant for all of us. Her positive outlook on life, and that smile and laugh, are contagious. Not everything street translates to dirt, but EVERYTHING dirt translates to street. And everything Jocelin translates to life. Someone else you should meet is Megan Griffiths aka Megs Braap. She's on the single track dual-sport/dirt bike side of things. Another person with a quality attitude. And she has skillz.

Between watching you and Jess ("Her Two Wheels") at these Adventure courses, I have taken the first step at overcoming the mental reservations that have built up the last two years. COVID in 2020 and cancer in 2021, I have let my riding skills on the street get weak. I have a BMW R1250GS (low Chassis) and an HD Pan American Special. I signed up this week for the two-day off road adventure course at the BMW MotoRad school in South Carolina. I will use their bike, and asked for the R1250GS regular chassis. This will FORCE me to use skills that I need to have. I have always told my sons (who are in their early 30's) to never judge your teacher by their age, but by their motivation. You and Jess have motivated me to take the BMW course. Thank you!

This makes me think I need alot more practice. Watching you ladies inspires me. I'm average height middle aged man on an above average size bike. There's so much I can learn from watching you two. Thanks for the push to better learn the craft .

I'm 6'1 and find the GS1250 intimidating to ride because of its size and weight but I'm always astounded seeing Joceline make it look so easy she is incredibly skilled and talented. Great video and keep up the good work.

You definitely picked on of the best to learn from. I like how you are using your format to inspire and push other people to get better. At 53 with over 200,000 miles I still try to go to a class every year. You are never to old to learn and get better. Keep up the good work. You should try to make it to the 2022 BMW MOA Rally. You will be amazing at how fun it is to meet so many like minded people.
