Brilliant tutorial. I’ve got a job this week which involves a lot of steel tube work. And I’m finding this really interesting. Such a shame the apprentices in the background don’t look interested whatsoever. I’m 23 and completed my apprenticeship. I’m here and it’s 9:30 in the afternoon watching these videos. How sad 😉.

@@GSHElectrical I’m here to update you! Everything went well but my only question is. When you’re running long runs of tube and you have obstructions to go around. How do you join the tubes together if they are threaded. Because if I have a bend on the tube where I need to thread it onto another length. That bend flies all over the place hitting things and getting caught. Is there any easier way to do this?

Where do you put your centre line on the conduit in relation to what part of the former so when I make the bend that both sides will end up being equal distance from the crank

Why do the saddle so high above the obstruction? I think it looks much better when there’s a 1/4 gap or less between the two pipes.

From Canada here; Is this pipe all Rigid pipe? Or EMT pipe? We use all EMT pipe here in Canada for like 95% of applications but we just use a hand bender. Only standing bender i've ever used was for 2"+ sizes. Im considering moving to the UK as I have family there, trying to figure out if my hours can be claimed in the UK as I'm red Seal Certified here and wouldn't want to start as a 1st year apprentice again.

Hi. Depending if your level of qualification and your UK employee you may find you only need a level 3 or a wring regulation course. Thanks again for commenting and watching GSH Electrical

GSH Electrical the wire regulation course is just a few day jump start course is it? And the level 3 is an apprentice stage? I’m finding a lot of available courses for electrical as I look into it. Where I am now everything is government regulated so there is on 4 levels of education and they are all taught the same regardless of where you take it.

Hi. You would normally do a the regs course (which is a level 3). The design courses are level 4 and you could do HNC or HND as well. Thanks Gaz

The pipe used is most similar to rigid only its steel(galvanised) as opposed to aluminum in Canada, there is no EMT only steel which is bent by using the bending machine showed in video only!!!

Be better if he taught them how to Mark and measure beginning of bends... Say the set was centre of a piece at 1-2 meters would he measure off the bench? The tube looked uneven... and on site people will notice things like bends not same distance
