pakan357 don't worry, that is not how it goes, SPOILERS there's a cut scene from the game where two ballas do a drive by on CJ's house and sweet runs in and finds him mom dead, then holds back his sister, and calls CJ. Later on in the game (although it doesn't make sense at the time because the scene mentioned before is never shown) two ballas are leaving a building (presumably the murderers) and big smoke and I believe another grove gang member open a garage to reveal the drive by car, as officer tenpenny and co walk out too. CJ becomes angry and so on. SPOILERS OVER So no, Big Smoke and Ryder are never mentioned to be involved directly in the murder so I am lead to believe that it was the two ballas acting alone.
