I started watching playing, then moved to other battle reports at the onset of 10th jusy cause they only have a few out, but playons reports are still spectacular.

It's incredibly fun, far more than any of the previous editions, its ease of getting new people involved and the seamless experience of picking up and playing a fun game. We even sometimes swap armies for a second game at times. Just disregard the complaints of those crybabies who believe everything released in the last decade is terrible.

insanely close game. these combat patrols have actually been hyper balanced on top of being fun to watch (and it seems fun to play?) enjoying 10th edition so far in terms of watchability. way easier to follow what's going on as somebody who doesn't actually play. really looking forward to seeing more content from 10th soon.

Hey Nick! I've been playing competitively with my father in Combat Patrol a LOT. Lots of things to note to help you be the best Guard Nick. Always always always attach your command squad into one of your battle line units. The 6 up feel no pain and the additional OC is often game-changing. The Field Ordnance Battery has a special rule in Combat Patrol that allows it to be split up into two separate units. Sentinel has a Hunter-Killer missile I didn't see you use once! A lot was cut out of the video so I don't know if you used your sustained hits with the artillery or the ability to reroll wounds on vehicles/monsters.

Hey Guys! Always love your vids, and as a Guard Commander myself, I was wondering some things. When you issue an order in this new edition, doesn't only affect one unit an order now? Specified in the Voice of Command rules? With the Master Vox extending it to a 24" inch range? And actually wondering about Clonecommander8's comment, I thought a Bodyguard unit only got the abilities specified in a unit's dataset that say "If this model is leading a unit", meaning the Cadian shock troopers the Command Squad is leading wouldn't get those bonuses, only the Regimental Attaches and the Ogryn Bodyguard that you attach to the command Squad directly? Just some food for thought!

@@dmitritompkins9656 Every set in Cadia stands plus like five or so other kits are all still very new, having only come out earlier this year/very late last year. Considering Catachan are still dealing with 20yo models, yeah these all count as new.

Oh man that was a clutch take down early. Artillery pretty much obliterated a squad of boyz, but first round orks take them both out with some great shots, that is a huge amount of damage Nick lost. Not a good trade but it did mean that the guardsman were ignored first turn too, so we'll see how that turns out.

So I played a game of combat patrol yesterday. Death guard vs Votann. Some rules were forgotten, and frankly I got my butt kicked. I felt bad when I got a charge with typhus and only killed one infantry. But seeing an orc war boss charging and only kill three guardsmen made me feel a lot better

Always the most fun to watch Warhammer on this Channel. People need to take notes on the way you present Warhammer games. Would love to see the announcer and players try to do this in a live setting. That was a very close game and looked like a total blast to play! I'm just about to start painting up my combat patrols (Guard and Necrons) to give 10th a try after being out since 7th, and I must say I'm really impressed with how balanced the combat patrol lists appear to be. Despite the Guard list being between 100-150 points less than most of the other combat patrols, it still seems to function really well.

40k has always been such a swingy game since its inception but the sheer cinematic energy of it really shines through your guys' batreps! I stopped playing ages ago but I eat up every one of these batreps. Also you guys should totally revisit Kill Teams and Legion with all its new releases/rules updates if you aren't already!

Really interesting game! Even in combat patrol Imperial Guard has so many tactical choices to make and it was interesting to see how poor rolls against IG can actually be a benefit. Had more of those guardsmen been killed he could’ve used “send in the next wave” for a massive advantage.

@@maxpieper2290 it's after the battle in the city with the flooded tunnels or whatever. The group of basilisks they saved from the world eaters get orders to shell the tanith. The ghosts survive and gaunt punches the commander in the face

This was great! It can be quite disheartening as an Ork player when you hit on 5s and have 1w Boyz, you just see all your numbers drop so fast and you've done zero damage but the stubbornness of the Green Tide was just fantastic

Replace the plastic connecting the rotors with a 1:1 magnet pair so you can take the rotors off. Plus it spins better than the kit does so it’s similar to the blackreach koptas

I played Admech vs Orks in the combat patrol in 9th edition and it was so unfair it felt like. The Orks had just so much compared to me. Like fully kitted admech was around 475pts and Orks were 550pts

Do you guys have any custom rules you play with? I’m *super* new to the hobby and just started playing my first couple of real games but mine look and feel a little different but I feel like I’m playing rules as written (for example I dont remember seeing that you’re only able to fire overwatch once a turn? Is that a thing for all stratagems?) but this could all just be inexperience with the hobby im not sure. Either way Ive had a BLAST watching these videos recently they’re incredibly entertaining and insanely well produced and I can’t wait for the next battle report

Taking out those 2 FOBs in the first round was massive. Nick shouldve split the unit (unique rule for Combat Patrol) and fully hidden that bombast gun in my opinion. Great game otherwise

Hello all, quick Ork question. Flashgits with Badrukk in a trukk. Do you get all of the weapon rules for flashgitz and Badrukk when they are embarked or is it just the flat stats of the weapon? Great report as usual guys!!

They become the trukks weapons, so no to buffs from they're data slates. But if a mek jumps out and touches the trukk they get +1 to hit
