they just doesn't fit the system. if Yaya had better defensive work-rate and intelligence, he'd stay. If Hart learn how to pass and calm under pressure, he'd stay. The reality is, they aren't! so they had to leave.

Dude, Yaya doesn’t track back and press, he doesn’t move. He’s a great player but Pep plays a certain way and if a player doesn’t fit into his system they get dropped or sold. It’s that simple.

tbh, you can't force manager to follow each player play style. Every manager have their own play style. Pep did give both of them the chance but it just didn't work out the way he wanted. He gave chance to Hart but Hart can't play under pressure when city start to play the ball from the back. I would rather switch player on my team than trying to follow each player ego.

“He inherited a champions league winning goal team” Fossils for fullbacks. Literally sterling as our only winger. Otamendi as our only half decent defender (Vinny’s calf were made of glass). He just had an unbelievable midfield and Aguero.

Champions League winning was a stretch but they were a Prem title winning team and that definitely counts for something dude. Especially if you're comparing what he started off with to what Klopp did. Plus, Stones in defense was great and the others were decent - everyone else City was willing to spend big money for so...

@@karangupta2329 But they underperformed in 2016, genius. That's the point of Pep being a great manager. he got the team and brought out the best in them but a lot of them had the potential. Even at Barca, he had the best players and he retrained them to do what was best for the team as a whole constantly. He's never had to use shit players and work out a system to make them excel the way Mourinho did with United or Klopp with Liverpool the first 2 years. It helps that City can sign whoever he wants for whatever price without batting an eyelid - they absolutely were a prem winning team and the proof of that is in how 5 of them are STILL crucial to this trophy laden City side.

Midfield and attack was strong, just inconsistent in the previous 2 seasons, plus plagued with injuries. The defense though was very old indeed, and a pretty bad.

It will always shock me how quickly joe hart went downhill. I think he was at his peak then suddenly he's not even in the first eleven when pep came.

a massive fall in confidence and then being unable to adapt to different styles of football in his loan spells. plus his age too he wasnt really young back then either. I think he is doing okay at Celtic tho

I'm thinking it's because pep tends to like to use the keeper as a passing option during possession and it seemed like hart even though had a world class set of hand idk if he was the best on the dribble

@@Danieleinad3 I read that Joe Hart actually refused to adapt, that’s why he was dropped. His goalkeeping ability was never questioned, just his unwillingness to play how Pep wanted. Not sure how true though!

All those saying how Pep treated Yaya, like what are you on about? He played for 2 seasons under Pep At City, and was a key part of the Centurions, one of the greatest teams in the history of the EPL. If he still had the legs, Pep would've kept him at the football club.
