She'd need to make a bunch from tips to make up minimum wage and around 33 hours (depending where she lives) for it to hit that much. And his response of it making sense, nah, no matter how hot you are, you ain't raking in that much on a non-tipping job. I think she just legitimately thought $60k is normal for a minimum wage job.
