I appreciate all the work you've put into these videos. I'm having trouble completing the setup on this one as i can't find the script file for the launch and close in your update package. It doesn't look like the folder in your video.

I just downloaded and checked it. It's all there.. number 4 is the script open it with notepad and copy it.

Thank you so much for your update videos. I've done both the vpx and future pinball updates now. I have an odd occurrence on the popper front end now. It opens great, but when i go to either vpx games or fp games it only shows the top game from the Tables folder and the command bar only shows popper command icons of which only Play and Exit System work. After loading that game, when i exit, it then shows the normal command bar with all my games and once again only the Exit System icon works. I don't see anything different in the Popper Config from what it was before. Any ideas? I can't seem to find this talked about on any forum.

Ye the update doesn't change popper. Are you on version 1.4.6? I needed to be on that version before adding 64bit.. but it does not mess with the media in the front-end

Hey Rudy - just wondering if you knew how to fix an error I'm seeing when opening FP. I get an error message saying "We can't open this 'ms-gamingoverlay' link. Your device needs a new app to open this link" Any idea on what I need to update / install for this error to get cleared? thank you.

That sounds like a motherboard app or something installed on windows. Not sure about that. Make sure the launch script and folders are correct

Thanx Rudy for your video tutorials. I finally have dmdext running on my future pinball tables using Pinballx frontend. My problem now is Idon`t seem to be able to customise styles and save. When I run a Future Pinball table through Pinballx the default style shows. Is it possible to solve this problem?

Finally got the handful of tables sorted. Nightmare to do. Took all day yesterday. I was having to restart the system several times on each table to get the customise style options to show, this was after spending ages trying to locate the cursor on the dmd screen. I`m a perfectionist and was never going to give up though. Thanx Rudy I couldn`t have got there without your instructions.

I recently added Avatar, when loading the table my backglass is black. For all my other tables I get the future pinball logo, it has been a while since adding a table in future pinball. Did I miss a step? Everything plays great, I'm just missing the logo during loading.

You can add any media to popper to display

All of my other future pinball table load up with the logo on the backglass, is there an option per table. I cannot remember for the life of me, It is annoying lol.

What 1st FP video? This is only one after baller_installer. You can also just use the new baller and it will setup everything and have it updated.

Thanks so much for your vids, im about to start my build shortly and they will be a great help, i have one of those Chinese avengers ultrawide’s as a base build and it has a 4:1 DMD like yours, i was going to expand it to a Full DMD as behind the 4:1 cutout is a 4:3 monitor, however now im wondering if really worth it, what’s your thoughts?

Yea I don't have a 4:1 I have a 15inch ultrawide so I use it as full dmd. It's more a 4:2.5 lol But yes I like having a full dmd image better than a 4:1

I watched this video at least twice, but I did not manage to launch a future pinball table. After taking all the steps you describe, I launched FP loader. The alien table loads, but when I select “play table” the table does not launch. I see 3 programs on the background, but they are blank. What am I doing wrong? Can you help me?

You use the ballerinstaller first before this video? Make sure you have all settings set like in the video. Follow the guide and make sure you use all of the configs. Table and table config named the same.

I followed your guide but am having a problem. With popper i get the error can not find dmd ext whenever i run a tables in popper. The tables that dont require it seem to run but also give the error. When i run tables directly in future pinball it runs without the error. I think the problem maybe the popper launch script since all my virtual pinball files are in my d drive. I did change the 2 c in the launch script of popper to d: D: And cd d:vpinball/future pinball Not sure what i am missing. I think something simple.

Yea you can't have them separate. If you want to put the whole install on d drive you need to delete everything and the run ballerinstaller and at the start change the install location to D then set it all up there.

@rudysarcade I did start with baller installer and put all files in the d drive for visual pinball and future pinball when using it. Visual pinball update perfectly with your instructions in my d drive 3 wks ago. Just with the instructions for future pinball I get this error. I think it's the popper launch script but don't see where else the d drive is mentioned.

I had the same problem and had to Rem the change directory line in the script, but then I realized that it had a space in Future Pinball while the directory it called for did not. It was FuturePinball. I removed the space in the script and all was well.

Make sure the location name is right. And spelling and spacing correct.

Finally got back to this. Your procedure for upgrade was great. The problem for me was dmd ext was working but hidden behind future pinball backglass. Finally found the solution for me. For those with a 2 screen setup on popper which have a virtual dmd you have to use the longer popper launch and exit script posted on Terry Reds wiki page.
