So a little update, I got the cash card 15k after a year membership with 5 dollars, prequalified offer on email, 90 days later email for platinum reward 8k, 40 inquiries at the time, so today 5/3/23, I applied for a prequalify personal loan from email, offer was 5k for 17.9 percent, called in to complain that my Usaa rate advantage was a better rate for 5k, while on the phone they offered and gave me 15 months no interest on a new gold card 12.5k.

I just became a member a couple days, money hasn’t fully reflected my account. I did the “ see if I prequalify “ and was approved for Platinum signature card 6k. Shocked!

I can’t get approved for nothing at penfed…. smh 🤦🏽‍♀️

This is one card I haven't pulled the trigger on yet, I've had a account for over a year, but haven't been proactive with it... I've always heard they don't like new accounts or new inquiries... wait at least 6 months or more ... they have sent me offers to apply, but not a pre-approval.... I've got credit in the mid 7's , utilization 15% , credit history is young , oldest account 10 years , newest 4 months old, about 24 accounts, mixed bank and cc. No derogatory, 100% payment history. I just hate opening new accounts, but eventually I will apply, for now I'm in the garden, always enjoy your videos and content.

True what your saying about the website. I apply for my second card and did it the the first time log me out. Try again I got approved but the system had froze.

So many errors...got approved on the site, timed out while signing disclosures, called to submit...under review. Clunky is an understatement.

Change you product change to other PenFed cards?

Secu of Maryland and DCU both have cards that can be liquified.

I was pre qualified for the Power rewards cc but not being a member yet, they want me to submit id documents. Does your drivers license and address on app need to be the same to be approved for membership?

i joined penfed over the summer. opened free checking, then HY savings and made small depoists mthly. then added dd of $500/mth & upgraded to Acces interest Checking last mth. Then i reveived a personal invite with offer on their gold card card. I will probably pull trigger on it this mth. this video was helpful, b/c i was debating if i should add a loan or other product when i apply for the gold card. after seeing this, i may re-think my strategy. question: i know they offer an overdraft LOC for the checking acct. Do you know if they will pull experian or equifax for that product? becuase i dont want seperate pulls for the gold card & the overdraft LOC. thanks WM
