Just joined NFCU about 3 weeks ago with both a Savings and Flagship Checking accounts and did a prequalify and was only approved for the nRewards card. So, I switched over all of my banking, added direct deposit for both me and the wife and did a 1K pledge loan. I paid back 90% on it. I get a email today (8/4/2023) for a invite to the More Rewards card. So, I did the prequalify again and was prequalified for all of their cards so I applied for the Flagship card and was approved for 25K but it had a high APR% so I am looking forward to seeing what my letter is going to say.

After a few product changes I had ended up with a $17,000 flagship $27,000 more Rewards and a $36,000 Platinum. They say you cannot move your credit limits around but I figured out a way to do it. You just request moving your credit limits around to do a balance transfer that's exactly what I did I moved $4,000 of my $27,000 card to my $36,000 card to have a $40,000 Platinum and I took the other 3,000 and moved it to my $17,000 flagship. Now I have a $20,000 more rewards, a $20,000 flagship, and a $40,000 Platinum Card

Been a member of Navy Fed for almost a month. I opened a e-checking, savings, and money market account. Have a DD into my checking account from my part time second job. I prequalified for a nRewards secured card when I opened the account. Went into the prequalify to check a few days ago and they posted all the cards. So to be safe I applied for the low tier Cash Rewards card. I was approved for the Signature Visa for $11k @ 18%! I’ll use this card with my Discover card daily. I have 3 Capital One cards but they don’t give much of CLIs. I’ll apply for the Navy Fed AMEX next year.

Awesome, and inspiring! I was unemployed during Covid, and that really screwed my credit up, because I was practically living on it. I opened up my Navy Federal account. Barely 2 weeks ago, part of my direct deposit is going to go into the flagship checking (will eat the fees until I build up the $1500) opened up a savings certificate, thing, and a few days after Opening the account I signed up for the end secure card with a $200 limit. I’m gonna do everything in my power in the next 3 to 4 weeks to boost myself up, I’m hoping I can have the same odds as you did where in just barely under a month, you got access to their unsecured credit cards. Congrats!

You have to get “approved” for the FS CHECKING?!? Do they pull your credit just to open a checking account?? I currently have the EZ checking and several other accounts, but I’m interested in the FS checking. Didn’t know that you had to “be approved” just for the checking account. 🤷‍♀️

Ok finally made it through all 2hrs first time visitors to this channel and definitely like the content so I'm definitely subscribing and after watching this I need to get my LLC going so I can tap into that business side and my theory on the internal score is they keep it hidden and mysterious so the public doesn't know what key factors drives it up because as we know once you drive that internal score up all the doors to navy fed opens up and they can't have any Joe smo accessing that

Your internal score is basically a one-time-only score only good for that credit card application it isn't used anywhere else. Best way to explain it is when you were in school you took a test on Friday that you're grade on that test that's not your grade on the class. This is what Navy Federal says about their internal score Custom scores range from 100-450. Your score for your More Rewards American Express application was a 357. This score is only established when an application for a new credit card is submitted and it is only used to decision that request. If you have any further questions or concerns, please let us know. By the way that was my first internal score with Navy Federal with only $5 in my savings account 3 days after opening my account. Not only is your internal score based on what you do with Navy Federal is also based on your overall credit profile. Obviously I had a decent profile to get a decent score even though I didn't do anything with Navy Federal at that time

I've been with Navy Federal 2 years. 3 days after I opened my account with a $5 in my savings account that I had to put in to join I got a $1,000 more rewards card after a few increases and a product change it's now a 17,000 flagship. My second card 91 days after my first card was a go rewards card $11,000 limit after few increases and a product change it's now a 27,000 more rewards card. 91 days after getting that card I got a $20,000 cash Rewards. Same deal after a couple increases and a product change it's now a $36,000 Platinum. I maxed out at 80k credit limit with Navy Federal in 18 months. I did one pledge loan for $250 when that one was completed I did one for 2001 for 3 years. I've been paying on that for about a 14 months now. I have $0 in my checking account $10 in my savings set up to auto pay my pledge loan. Last October I got a $21,000 personal loan with collateral for a side by side UTV. 9.55 interest the lowest offer on that type of loan is 7.99. My FICO scores anywhere between 680 and 720 since I've been with Navy Federal. I only had one year of credit history before I joined Navy Federal. Highest card to the time was a 750 discover $200 secured Capital One and a $500 unsecured Capital One. 100% payment history anywhere between 10 and 15% overall utilization. With a couple other credit cards I have I have a total of $125k credit limit. I don't think I did too bad for not using Navy Federal as a bank only using them for their credit cards and loans

It offered a $300 cash bonus after spending $3000 in 90 days. I would love to establish a relationship with Navy federal and I will probably open a checking and savings and wait for 90 days and then initiate a credit card app and maybe take on a pledge loan as well, just to get 44:51 my feet wet💎😃

Some of the data is EASY to see why they got the credit they got. If you have 100k+ in cash sitting in your account, ANY institution should be giving you cards with huge limits! On top of almost having an 800 credit score... I want to see some data showing an average person making an average wage getting these limits! 😆

The things I don’t like about NavyFed cards are They don’t combine points with one another And They don’t have any transfer partners so it’d be best to only use the More Rewards American Express card for every day purchases or the Go Rewards card for every day purchases or arguably the Flagship considering that you’ll get 2X rewards instead of 1 on all other purchases. But getting 2 NavyFed cards may not make sense unless you find you’re getting enough value from using the flagship card as strictly for purchasing plane tickets essentially treating it like the AMEX Platinum card then use the More Rewards American Express card for every day purchases

@@artkoster6106 I’m saying you don’t exactly have to do all this stuff for you to get approved for this limit. I am at a lower earnings than my friend but had a healthy long term relationship with navy fed and got approved for the 25k limit with ok credit ( I think it was something like a 670 ) where as my housemate with what is considered perfect credit signed up for navy fed once I learned I could sponsor him and with his good credit score, five bucks in the savings that was required when opening the account, and the account existing for a grand total of 10 minutes he applied for the same card and also got approved for the same amount. I’m not exactly sure what triggers it and what doesn’t. His wife also signed up and she tried the same thing and only got approved for 5k and her situation is similar to mine as far as credit goes but her relationship with navy fed was also new when she applied where I had been a member for over five years, had and paid back multiple loans through them, and have used them as my main bank that whole time without ever having late payments or overdrafts. I currently have a flagship account so maybe in my case where I have all of that to boost my internal member score it helps me get better offers from them over her who has a similar credit history as me but also doesn’t have the relationship and her partner who has great credit was able to also get approved implying that the internal score only matters if you have less than perfect credit. I think the way it works is it’s a boost system to get you into a higher bucket if you are familiar with the bucket system of capital one.

Ok, I am confused about the 4 step personal loan hustle. 1. get a personal loan, 2. put that money into the pledge loan, 3. payoff most of the pledge loan 4. payoff credit cards with the freed up funds of the pledge loan, so far so good, BUT, you still have the personal loan to payoff. So I am a bit confused on how this helps, unless, we are just building up the internal score with NFCU. Because yes, we have a low balance on the pledge loan now, paid off a few CC's but still have this possibly high APR personal loan to deal with. What am I missing? Great info btw :) Thanks

That was the play outlined in that video ya, building internal datapoints/transactional history with NFCU alongside clearing up credit cards and lowering utilization, getting installment loans is fine and actually helps thicken up a credit profile- just don't go getting one from like Prosper which has really high APR. Credit Unions tend to have lowest APRs.

Need any sort of ACH so there are several ways I think you could do that, just transfer from one account to another via ach and schedule up every month. You could go all the way to setting up LLC, depo cash to llc bank account and then again schedule up ach to your personal checking. Lets see what other ideas people have

One of the reasons why there's a minimum of a $5,000 credit limit on the Flagship is because it comes as a Visa signature card and to become a Visa signature card you have to have at least a $5,000 credit limit. Once your cash rewards or your go rewards hits $5,000 limit. it becomes a Visa signature card. The same thing applies to the World MasterCard. To become at World MasterCard it has to have a minimum of a $5,000 limit

Yeah they started me with a visa signature cash rewards for 12k , I just want sure if my CLI last week would hinder me or that my 1st card is only 3months old, I remember you saying it was very rare for that other individual to get the 79k and 3 cards in 12months. I think I'm going to try it anyway in a couple days when I get my free trial on Experian app lol ,it's the only way to see my updated TU fico 8 for free ,I'm pretty sure it's in the 800s now . Thanks for your insights, friendly advice and data points man, your awesome.

the hard inquire posted about an hour after I applied. I primarily use the Experian app which only offers information on the FICO 8 on all 3 bureaus but, it also shows up it also shows up as a hard inquiry on Credit karma. I can see my Equifax 9 report through my Navy Fed app and my Experian FICO 9 score through my Wells Fargo app, I have not found a place to see my TransUnion FICO 9

None of those cards you showed have a line of $80k. Those cards have a max line of $50k. The Visa Flagship card is the only one with an $80k max limit with a $49 annual fee. Give accurate information, please, because as an employee, it's frustrating to see misinformation as fact. Also, household eligibility deals with someone in the home being able to sponsor someone if they live in the same house and has nothing to do with household income. There is no pre-qualification for a credit line increase online or otherwise. Secured cards are a minimum of $200 and the pledge loan is $250. There are no minimum requirements for the checking and savings accounts unless you have the Flagship checking which has a $1500 daily nalance requirement. There is no late night hack ad the credit check is a credit check no matter when you do it. All credit application information runs through a program first, and if it goes into review, then it gets sent to live underwriters.

This is over an hour of all the videos we uploaded to the channel since 2021, keep that in mind please. 1. I never said any of those cards would have an $80k limit, I said max exposure across all 3 cards is $80k. 2. Didn't know max per card is $50k, thank you for sharing 3. Household eligibility section was copy/pasted from the NFCU website at the time, that video you are referencing is from 2021 or 2022, I just looked on the website and its different now, it used to say something like household members (roomate) should be contributing to monthly rent 4. Never said there was prequal for CLIs, please point out timestamp 5. Not sure if I made comments on min of secured cards but thanks for clarity, again that original guide video might be old 6. Thanks for info on checking, not sure I mentioned that but good clarity 7. We debated the late night hack as well, think no matter what you say some people will swear up and down it worked, others won't. Everytime its discussed its heavily debated

I think your videos are good just some details were wrong. That's all I'm saying. It makes a difference because people watch videos like these and come to the branch with unrealistic expectations. Not trying to offend at all. No ill intent.

But wrong is wrong and like I told him the videos are pretty good its just some details we're incorrect. Watch this entire video, you missing the keypoint. Something about your profile they don't like still so I would do the following 1. Ask for reconsideration- think this is done through message center and they will tell you flat out if you reached soft cap max exposure 2. Also ask for internal score or look for it on back of denial letter you get 3. If you rebuilding (sounds like you are) then need to increase transactional history with them, get more products flowing with them like we mention in all the sections of this video, DD, money markets, saver accounts, pledge loans etc and build that up- then go back for CLI
