I have not watched a single movie from the franchise but the way Garrick's face just lit up while talking about it makes me want to try it out! Lol

Brian said in the 4th movie something along the lines of “I think in that moment I respected Dom more then I respected myself” so that’s why he let him go at the end of the movie if anyone was wondering 😂😂

As to the letting Dom go, 2 gives a brief answer. Roman being pissed that Brian let dom go but couldn't help a friend out. Brian " knew" Roman was locked up and felt the need to help one friend since he couldn't help the other. That was the brief interaction right before the garage scene in 2.

I want to hear about a movie that Garrick picks, he is always playing neutral party between very opinionated Kelsey and Zach, and I want to hear what his Guilty Pleasures are!

TIMELINE OF MOVIE- He has been going to the restaurant to scout out and see Mia for 3 weeks before events start. The actual time Brian is friends with everyone after that is a month; not a week. Because Race Wars, unfortunatle name, is said to be a month after they encounter the villian. Just clarifying because I rewatched it today.

My husband's first car was an Evo x. In California. He had an exhaust and stuff on it but they were legal. But he literally had a cop pull him over JUST to look at the car and ask questions as if he was fangirling

I just wanna say that vin diesel and Paul Walker were best friends, Vin named his daughter Pauline after Paul. You can't get closer than that!

I don't think Brian was ever playing Mia. He was at the shop/diner because Dom was there and he was hoping to catch his eye. He would've found a way to be there even if Mia didn't work there. Flirting with Mia was a cover story, but he never made a move on her. That didn't happen until the party after the first race, by which time Brian was already in Dom's good graces and provisionally adopted into the familia. At that point, they flirt and go for a drive, but nothing more. Brian does eventually ask her out, but she turns him down. And then ~1 minute later she asks him out. Partly because she's into him, but also to piss Vince off. Brian didn't need her for cover by then, as he was already solidly part of the crew. I may have seen this movie too many times. lol

This is the only podcast I'm actually entertained by, it was so funny yesterday. Should have kept it up!

This Fast and Furious series podcast is giving me life.

I glanced at the thumbnail and thought it read, The Fast and The Delirious. I have been in self-quarantine SO LONG. I guess that I am "The Delirious". The FF series is truly a guilty pleasure. However after seeing that submarine scene in film #8, I now feel enabled to state my joy in its existence without guilt.

I have never watched a single one of the fast and furious films... and for some reason I actually own the full boxset. Well safe to say I will be glued to my screen for the next few days! This sh*t sounds fu**ing wild!

Where he's on the phone with Mia Bryan-best thing to ever happen to me was walking into that shop Mia-talks about the bad sandwich (don't remember what was said exactly) Brian- yeah I had a lot of them So verdict you're both right. I do think Brian went in with the intention to sweet talk the sister main goal wad Dom of course. But then started developing feelings for her as time went on (we know it was longer than a month) The friendship develops in a week but the stolen dvds were going on much longer and the suspect was dom I too grew up watching these movies with my older brother. LOVE THIS EPISODE

Love this movie! I also remember where I was the day Paul Walker died. It was my birthday and earlier that day I had driven by the bright green Eclipse Brian drives in the beginning. It was outside of a car museum in Branson, MO lol. I was there visiting family for Thanksgiving. And yes, Paul Walker and Vin Diesel were familia in real life too... Vin even named his daughter (born after Paul Walker died) Pauline. There's a lot I could say about the movie too!!

Also, I’m not really into Fast and Furious, but this was still an amazing video and a total joy to watch! I had the complete opposite reaction to everyone on the podcast - I literally wrote to the governor asking them to *raise* the driving age after 2 fast 2 furious was released. At the ripe old age of NINE.

Absolutely love this franchise I remember when it came out they gave car dealerships free preview tickets and I got to go with my dad who is a car salesman. Epicness. And as someone from FL yes it is a life style down here

i know i’m late and a nerd but @ 36:00 but vin diesel actually didn’t come back for 2f2f because he didn’t like the idea of a franchise, he said he wanted the sequel to be “coppola-esque”. he only came back because universal gave him the rights to his riddick movies hehe

i believe in the original script the torettos were supposed to be italian (scripts gone wild did a fun reading with griffin newman, another nerdy white guy with glasses who loves this movie) but after they cast Vin they became Cuban

It all makes sense now, seeing Garrick in the M2 during tailgate debate. When my SO and I watched that episode I got all excited and was like "Garrick has the same car as me!! But also his is a better color."

My whole family was obsessed with fast and furious and the whole franchise! We would all go to my uncles and watch it. I’m liking what I’m hearin 😂👀
