So awesome to see this, Michael! It never ceases to be amazing how much you're able to get out of a song after one listen. As always thanks so much for giving us all the language/framework/etc to understand why certain things work, musically. Thank you so much.

What a beautiful song. What a guitar player and singer Morgan Wallen is. Hang in here and grow stronger in your teaching. You have a lot of fans and followers and fellow guitar players out here that can't get enough of you.

I love your channel. It’s introduced me to better music, made me go deeper in my tastes, and inspired me to pull out my guitar again. I’m legally blind and can’t see tabs, YT video demos, and visual cues. Any advice for getting a beginner blind player to the intermediate level? Thanks and much love! ❤️✌️

You should check out Jeff Williams. He mostly does music for shows like RWBY and Red vs Blue, but his music kind of blends genres and he loves his key changes. If you do, the woman singing in the songs is Casey Lee Williams, his daughter. She has a band called OK Goodnight. They're music is mostly instrumental with some lyrics.

@ultragroove12 жыл бұрын
“There’s only two kinds of music. Good music and bad music.” -Duke Ellington Point being, good stuff transcends all genres. If you just don’t care for country, hey we all like what we like and vice versa. But I think Mike is sharing what he appreciates about the guitar style by the artist and the chord structure. It really is good, and I don’t own any “modern” country western music either. :) Old school Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Haggard, Paycheck, George Jones, Jennings, are a different story. Love those guys.

@@ultragroove1 I only can take the country music from the 80s. Since then, it's all crap.

@ultragroove12 жыл бұрын
I get it, I feel pretty much the same. I can’t even listen to whatever the “top 20” of anything currently on Spotify or the like. I grew up in my teens in mid eighties at the peak of some of the best music in rock, progressive, the emergence of melancholy brilliant The Smiths, The Cure, pop synth ie Thompson Twins, Flock of Seagulls, etc. All the while flipping out for Van Halen 1,2 Women & Children First and then 1984. Rush. Moving Pictures, Subdivisions. Not to mention 70s Zeppelin, countless others. What a heckuva 10-20 years of off the hook music in many genres, killer revolutions in sound, style, techniques (EVH) and brilliant lyrical contributions (Neil Peart) plus unforgettable stadium filled rock concerts. 😎🎸😆
