Fun fact: Nicolas isn’t the only one who voiced Gumball. He’s actually the third and final Gumball voice actor of the series. Throughout the show, the actors for Gumball and Darwin were replaced once they sounded too old (It’s really apparent for the first Gumball and Darwin actors since they sounded almost completely different after puberty). The first two Gumball actors were Logan Grove and Jacob Hopkins and both of them played the character longer than Nicolas had (Logan voiced the character for the first 2 seasons, Jacob for almost 3 seasons, and Nicolas a bit over 1 season). Despite this, he still gets called “The Gumball Voice Actor” since he’s the most recent and the one involved in the controversy.

i'm glad you made a video about this because i don't think I've seen any popular commentary youtuber talk about it, and you're also one of the most level-headed people on this platform. i thought that i could give some backstory on dream below, as well as some of the aftermath. he has a past of making racist, anti-semetic, homophobic, etc. comments. he has also used the r-slur when he can't. he continuously responds to people that don't support him, wether it be replying or quote-retweeting, causing his fanbase to, 99% of the time, attack a minor and dox them. he's been accused of grooming 17-18 year olds (the accusations have been out for a year or more now) and he is just only making a video about it. he has thrown his cat, patches, out of anger multiple times, and there's a video of him running and jumping onto her bed while she was still on it. one of nicolas' friends made a tweet saying that, during the time the clip was recorded, nicolas was having manic and bipolar episodes.
