You might think they will be banned because the NRA said so but does that coincide with actual reality? JFK was shot with a bolt action rifle yet they didn't ban carcano rifles from sale. In California they have strict gun control yet they still allow bolt action rifles. Australia and England which have even more stricter gun control than California have legal bolt action rifles for sale to civilians. Most countries that allow gun ownership but have strict gun laws allow bolt actions rifles.

Yeah you can't just randomly put term limits on because some times there are people who are in politics a long time that you don't like. You aren't even really addressing any problems, just putting an arbitrary rule on things to hurt specific people. It makes no moral or legal sense outside of just targeting specific people.

All gun control laws are unconstitutional, in my opinion, but the Constitution made the SCOTUS the authority on them. The self-evident inalienable right to self-defense is not just a civil right, but a natural one. At one point the SCOTUS pointed that fact out with regard to weapons. I too am uncomfortable with the humor in this, but I am not going to start throwing fire bombs OR taking it as the end of the world.

You might want to brush up on your civics classes. Trump doesn't need to veto this Bill...and he won't have to. When a Senator or Congressmen writes a Bill, it has to go to sub-committee and then the sub-committee debates and votes on said Bill. If passed, the Bill will subsequently go to Full Committee for the same process. If passed, it then goes to either the Leader of the Senate Majority (Mitch McConnell) or to the Speaker of the House (Paul Ryan), Just depends of who wrote the Bill and which chamber of Congress they come from (House or Senate). If the Bill gets to the Leader or Speaker...they determine if the Bill will even go to the full Senate/House Floor for a debate and then a vote. The Speaker/Leader can easily deny the Bill from going to the floor and the said Bill is dead in the water. Now, if said Bill is granted, a debate and vote and passed, the Bill would then go to the other chamber of Congress for the same process...that chamber can easily vote it down or up. Say it's voted and passed, then the Bill would get to the President. Out Founders intentional set this process up, to ensure a Bill was thoroughly thought out and nothing was rushed per se. Now you can Fast Track a Bill and skip the sub and full committee. And it goes directly to the Senate or House. But then the Speaker or Leader can still oppose a vote or have a vote and then is passed would go to the President. Hence a fast track Bill would still take roughly 6 months for the process to go through. Whereas, the regular process can take up to a year and usually longer. Many times behind the scenes a President might say to the Leader and Speaker, if said Bill gets through Congress he will veto it. Therefore, saying time and money, the Senate and House will simply refuse to hear the said Bill. ....................................................................................The problem with America, is too many citizens/people are unaware of how the system works. Many people don't even know how many Branches are in our government, as well as, don't even know the Branches. There's 3 Branches, Executive (President), Legislature (Congress), and Judicial (US Supreme Court). Also, many people find politics boring and never get involved. Well it's Every Citizens obligation to be aware and be involved. Or else, the populace gets what we're enduring now...Politicians taking AWAY OUR RIGHTS. People should also, be aware and involved at the Local and State Level too. Because, that's where you'll see the biggest input. At the very least, people should VOTE, Do a little research and know the candidates and where they stand on all the issues. However, too many people vote for a person if they subsequently like the candidates personality. The Government is dumbing down the population on purpose. So, they can get away with the things that's pissing the general population off. The public school system don't even teach Civics anymore. The Constitution and how the system works, is hardly even taught...and if it is, it's at a rudimentary level, at best. We the People need to take our Nation back. Because per the Politicians, this country is no longer....For the People, By the People and Of the People anymore. The Politicians, believe we the People are too stupid and they (politicians) will step in and make choice and decisions for the populace. It's a shame, because America will be the Empire that was destroyed from within and by its own people.
