When I'm car camping with some one. We take a tent big enough to stand up in. Great video by the way. Tubed tires are fine, if you fill them with a good sealant :)

G'day James. We've got rain .. Yippee. I was a newby, and space was a premium. It did me fine (still have it) until 2010 when I bought a larger tent for our Birdsville jaunt. You only sleep in them when it's all boiled down, but getting up off the ground got harder (hence set up right beside the wheel for leverage). Tubed tyres are fine on a bike, but at 35kg a wheel, tubeless much less trouble 😁

Hi Laurie, I remember seeing some of this on your other videos but good to see the Gunbarrel from end to end. Lennie Beadell did a grand job. You had some treacherous conditions towards the end. Not a road you would want to travel on alone. Jan

We should have realised with the sky at Mt Everard that conditions would change. But it was fun, and we survived. I seem to recall that the permit said that you should have at least two (or three) vehicles. But there are clowns who ignore the permit application process of course. Connie Sue is coming. Laurie
