My favorite way to catchem. Have some natural oklahoma city managed large ponds with coontail, pennywart and pads. Yesterday i couldnt get their attention with the frog so i busted through and caught 3 over 3lbs in an hour. I use a 7'6" heavy rod also. It will handle up to a 2 oz. Had to bust the 2 out last year. Seemed like i missed the giants on a pull bite rather than a thump bite. Trying to correct that this year.

Hold up now, don't get confused, the double-shindo is a different knot than he's talking about here. The double-shindo is actually a improved double clinch knot. This is a version of a palomar knot. Not necessarily good for bailing hay.
