This is what I love about Guy. Willing to fight and bend the rules for artists with genuine talent. He doesn't let the rules get in the way of someone's potential career. He understands the bigger picture

Yeah, in terms of sportmanship, i dont think it’s fair against other coaches as it seems like they have to accept the fact that “he made a mistake” by pairing them. How about the other coaches, would it be accepted if they “made a mistake” like this? Not to mention that the remaining 4 artists left in his team are all put in higher pressure to stay since the chances left are tighter 🤨

Its fair to pair them both cus they both have similar style and brings the same power when it comes to singing. They fit best in battle and people would notice more if they were paired up with other people, who isnt on par with their style, just for them to win in the battle rounds. Also its good tv for Guy to break the rules once in a while. Nevertheless, they both deserved it, both did phenomenal!!

Cool logic, alot of folks do that but in such cases the underdogs always lose cos the coach would have decided to let em go even before their main performance, all in a bid to keep the perceived stars

Well done Guy, he knows that the moment he let the other go the other coaches would pick them because they are so good. So he take the risk and send his request #approved. These coaches are amazing I love how happy they were for the participants and didn't care about the rules Last time Guy broke the rules, the coaches got mad, mocked Guy's attitude was beautiful and the coaches' reaction was beautiful

I really love this! Especially when they are all phenomenal. I hope other coaches can do the same sometime. When it's all said and done they make money and help the contestants on their journey. Literally a win win!

in china’s version of the voice, a few seasons back, one of the judges made two mediocre contestants sing again with two previously “eliminated” contestants to choose two to advance. both the previously eliminated ones advanced in place of the mediocre ones, but it for sure made a lot of sense and improved the quality of the competition. in fact, one of the ones that advanced ended up winning

I think it was planned because they wanted to give us that awesome duet pairing but also take them both through. Of they were paired with others, they would have gone through but we would have missed this amazing battle. So thank you!

In the Holland version a judge send two home because she thought they werent improving anything. Another judge made a duo of two singers (they both agreed). Guy is right, it's showbizz, it changes. He will feel the results of his choice later (he will have to send more people home later) and will take the best ones with him

The Voice Australia management deserves huge credit for being so HUMAN & flexible. Eurovision 2022 has learned nothing - they have imposed totalitarian CENSORSHIP since 2015/2016. BOYCOTT ESC 2022 - ART cannot survive in a total vacuum.
