Never forget the first time I went ice fishing. Me and my buddy show up with a hatchet guy next to us asked where our auger was. We told him this is all we got. He looked at us and said son we got 14" of ice here. very young still in school seemed like a plan to us.

Anytime i watch or think of ice fishing i think of one of my friends mom when she was ice fishing one day, called ONSTAR to get directions back to the road. (She was on the lake) the lady from Onstar was from Florida and was NOT familiar with ice fishing and when she looked her up she said in a very concerned voice "Ma'am! Youre in the middle of the lake" The reply from the friends mom was "well yeah i onow thats why i want directions back to the main road". Not sure if she actually needed directions or did it just to have some fun. Either way so funny.

Last time I went ice fishing was on Lake Simcoe. We were out on snowmoblies doing donuts in the puddles. We caught enough to feed 8 people. One guy dropped a fish back into the hole. I immediately stuck my hand in, grabbed the fish and threw it out the door in one motion. They just looked at me like I was from another planet. One guy goes "Good thing we brought an Indian along"! (I'm part First Nations). When we got back our wives were freaking. SUV went through the ice that night. Everyone survived but luckily we were on sleds so that saved our bacon.
