I see u just install the bolts raw,, i work at a fishing company on mantenance on the boats , u know there everything get corroded really easy,, so we use on bolt this thing called NEVER SEEZ it helps really good to prevent corrorion. YUOR VIDEOS ARE REALLY USEFULL MAN

I don't, I just cut out the top damaged area and welded in a new piece, drilled out the appropriate size with a metal hole saw.

Never understood why some people put a chassis together then paint the entire thing (bolts, hardware and all) one color. Factory finishes are the best.

So many details, thanks for posting. Do you know if that bracket is necessary above the rear end? It spans across the frame. I heard it’s a support bracket for the gas tank but I’m not sure.

Great video and very helpful! What spring compressor were you using for the front springs? Handling compressed spring is nerve wracking for me. I've seen holes in shop walls from springs getting mishandled. Also, what did you use to refinish the hardware for the rear suspension?

That one is an OEM brand compressor, I really try to avoid using spring compressors..... very scary tool to use..... the rear suspension was media blasted, epoxy primed and painted. Thanks for watching !!

@@guzzifabrication3448 Thanks for the info! I was actually curious how you refinished the nuts, bolts, and washers for the rear suspension. Do you do your own zinc/cad plating? Refinishing fasteners is something I'm trying to improve my abilities on.

@@jjohns17 Luckily there is a plating company a mile away, Gleco Plating, they can yellow/silver zinc, nickle, phospate, etc.

Power Assist. You think it’s worth using the power assist? How did you get that steering gear box off? Where does it detach? At the bushing?

3 bolts hold the gear box on and the pitman joint. Power assist..... induvidual preference..... they always seem to leak.....

@christopher ortiz you have to use a ball joint separator they are pretty inexpensive there is a tie rod ball joint separator and a regular ball joint separator you want to get the correct width
