With all the nicknames and sweet words, I realised how much I needed my mum right now. I live in LA with my boyfriend and my whole family lives in my home country Australia. I fell pregnant in the November of last year and all I wanted to do was run and hug my mum and tell her she was going to be a grandma for the first time but I couldn’t. I haven’t seen my family in over 3 years, we were meant to go down in the summer of 2020 but obviously with corona virus we couldn’t and even now we still can’t seem them. There is so many moments in these past few months and the ones to come I would love to share with my mum like when I have my baby, ultrasounds, gender reveal, when we found out, all the moments I was scared and just needed my mum to tell me it was okay. I miss my mum and my whole family so much and sometimes I don’t even realise.

my mom and i haven’t had the best day together so this makes me tear up for so many reasons.

i never felt like i had a mum bc she was always busy and mostly taking care of my lil sister. She missed many of my end of school plays and first school days. At my school parents would gather around usually and wait with their kids but i was always alone, however my sister always had mum bc mum said "its important to be there for her". this makes me feel like i have a mum that is actually there for me and i get cared for, which makes me feel kinda pathetic but, hey, it is what it is right😅. thank you for this.
