this video is so so sweet. this made me remember my last breakup, my mom would just sit there and hold me while i cried for hours. she let me talk when i wanted to, she didn’t force anything, & she gave me so many hugs. i swear they always know what to say to make you feel a bit better. as a mom i’m sure it’s so so hard to see your child in pain 😩 i’m so thankful for my mom, i couldn’t of made it through without her 🥺🥺

So wish my mom would have been more empathetic like this. She was more offended that someone would cry over a man. 😩 Your expressions are so right on with what you say. It’s as though you are really looking deeply into someone’s eyes and the way you look to the side to make it as though you were thinking. Really really realistic.

Yeah, my Mom & Dad acted nuts for years after their divorce. I felt as if they were treating us like two kids fighting over rag dolls. They'd pit us against eachother, pick favorites, as if our feelings didn't matter. It's sucks to have 2 narcissist parents.

If this resonates with anyone,I know doing the break up can be very painful too. I recently broke up with my boyfriend because I had to come to terms with the fact that I wasn't truly in love,I wanted to see other people and be by myself. I know I sound cold but it truly hurt me and hurts me still,falling out of love doesn't mean you don't mourn what was and I'm still processing being by myself. Just because it hurts doesn't mean you haven't made the right decision,pain is normal and letting someone go can be painful, especially when they've been good to you.

i just broke up with my boyfriend a few hours ago, broke down the minute i sent it, it’s so validating reading this comment, i feel extremely extremely alone right now and this helped me to know that i’m not the only one whose been through this, he just wasn’t my person and i want to find myself again because i just gave him my all and didn’t get what i needed in return and i had to leave, whether he’ll accept that or not is on him, it’s not longer in my hands

Having just had a complicated breakup, I wish I could have a talk like this with my mom. We love each other as mother/daughter!! But this was so soothing and I didn’t feel judged or like I was supposed to learn a lesson I had to write down. Well I want to watch this but it will probably make me cry. My mum died when I was 15 and it’s been two years since a breakup and I’m still not over her, she was so perfect for me. I really wish I had my mum to help me get over it and talk about it :(

I know this isn’t really helpful coming from a stranger on the internet but I just want to say: if you’re broken up, it wasn’t perfect. It seems so great in retrospect but there’s a reason things are the way they are. If a relationship ends, most of the time, it’s for the better.

I broke up last year and I’m single like a pringle still but I actually searched for something like this because my parents aren’t emotionally mature to cope with their own emotions, let alone mine. It‘s something I realised very strongly in my 20‘s and I feel like more and more people get aware of that, try their best to heal and be their own best friend and mom.
