@@Sarnt_Eskie I can agree with that and I definitely can agree that some people are doing it to draw attention like a peacock. But those that lift some truly heavy weight and drop it, you just aren't going to hear this for reps anyhow, more like "rep." But since I own and run a gym, you'll never have any fear of being kicked from my gym for making a little noise. Go to a library for the quiet, go to yoga (wich I love), but go to a gym to hear people at work. I never will understand peoples fascination with controlling others. People will clown themselves because they want to be a Karen on what another gym clown is doing. My father taught me to be humble and always smile when someone yells at you, but if anyone crosses the line, be worse than him

@@rjacks3284I don't see a contradiction there. You try to deescalate the situation and if that doesn't work then you make the consequences bad enough that the guy sees a correlation between his bad behavior and the outcome. Technically that doesn't make you worse than the other guy since the other guy was the initiator but you get the idea.

Smiling at someone that’s angry at you doesn’t calm it down lol. Agree with the be worse than them.

Thats exactly it too, dudes will say you're messing with everyones lift by "being too loud" then proceed to scream and try to fight you in the middle of the gym. As if that's not the MOST disruptive thing you could do for everyone? If it was truly about the noise you wouldn't raise your voice and you'd be chill because its really not a big deal, its 100% of the time an ego trip.

Everyone is immensely polite at my gym. Someone kicked off once and everyone surrounded him like creepy cultists and politely accommodated him out of the gym. He was shooed out with great manners. Pacifism was a greater force than muscle that day. 💪

Wears a sweater to not intimidate everyone else with his shredded body. He was too confident didn't even flinch when he got in his face. As Chael would say, "can't let you get close"
