San Diego Supercross gave us some incredible racing during the 450 main event, followed by some of the most drama we have seen in a long time when rookie Jett Lawrence confronted him post race, resulting in a small physical altercation. The following days saw a social media post by Anderson go more than viral, and Ando wanted to come on the podcast to clear the air.
What was your take on the whole situation?

No, Jett had a tantrum because he couldn't win. He got mad Ando kept racing him and didn't pull over like jett did for roczen. He is used to getting the holeshot or top 3 and can run away. He wasn't man enough to apologize for grabbing Ando even though he would have got hurt. He had his team apologize to Ando and unfollowed him on social media trying to hurt Ando anyway he can. Jett has a lot of little girls and fanboys that I'm sure followed suit and unfollowed Ando also. Ando has a better fan base anyday but for Jett to try to effect that because ando didn't let him by and raced to the end like he is paid to

Jett is a talented dude and believe he will get more championships, but to Andersons point of coming in with all the media attention, donuts, whatever good for him to make more dough, but I do want to see him hit rough patches and see the vets beat him. Great interview. The questions that I wanted asked were "Do you think that Jett has a valid reason to be upset? Was your riding 100% legit or were you riding 'dirty' just to block Jett? Why were you not focused on catching Barcia at that point in the race. You both lost 10 seconds to Barcia. Why ride like that?" I know these are tough questions, but the fans want to know what was going on in each riders head. Keep up the great work guys. Love how chill Ando is in interviews.

My 2c ... JA21 was definitely focused on keeping Jett behind him rather than trying to get to the front and I reckon that was because JA21 didn't have the pace that night. This was obvious because once Jett got past him, he gapped JA21 pretty quickly. Regardless of how much the Lawrence's hate when competitors "race backwards" instead of trying to get to the front, and while I agree with them, guys like JA21 have earned the right to race how they want within the laws of the sport. Nobody in the 450s, especially a previous SX champion, is going to roll over. From what I've seen of Darren Lawrence, I reckon he would have ripped Jett a new one after what he did. Darren would have been saying "you're a bonehead and that's not the way to handle it". I believe that is why Darren would have gone to JA21 to apologise. Being Australian, it feels like it's in my DNA to support the brothers so it kills me when I see one of them making a mistake like this. At the end of that day, that's all it was, a mistake. Us fans have made this thing 100 times bigger than what it is.

CHad did okay, because Ricky and James generally owned him. The only guy to beat the yanks straight up in SX was Bayle and reading his comments about it, it was a similar story to Jett's story now. The media is responsible for the largest part of the pushback Jett is experiencing. It was like they couldn't help themselves from acting like Jett was the only rider worthy of the promotion of the sport. We can all see how fast and talented he is. But he has only done what he has done. There are currently guys in the 450 class who have done more in the class. The media was very disrespectful to them. Jett himself had very little to do with it. @TJAMES747 I'm speaking in regards to him entering the 450 Supercross class. Jett was not getting booed in the outdoor series. Jett had just one 450 Supercross win to his name, coming into the 2024 Supercross season. There are four past 450 Supercross champions in the class right now. Jett isn't one of them. But the media promoted the series as if he were. We did not hear anything about the four guys in the class who actually earned 450SX titles. Other than that, they were past their prime, and this new kid was going to dominate them. Then, fan zone. And the donut sales. And the fake story about 2024 A1 being his first 450 SX win. And him being the first rookie to win his debut 450 race. Like I said, Jett has done what Jett has done in the 450 Supercross class. Nothing more. Nothing less. He's currently running 4th in the series. Behind three of the past champions, we heard little about leading up to the SX season. Cheers!

4:45 i completely disagree that 'anderson put him in his place' if anything, anderson showed disrespect and zero restraint to a peer. should jett have put his hands on anderson's helmet? no. (mind you it was gentle as hell) But anderson also shouldn't have tried to run away in a clearly disrespectful manner while his competitor's trying to talk to him. the response to escalate the situation and yank the shit out of jett's helmet in return is childish, and it's commendable that jett had the restraint to not throw punches after that. Anderson should have allowed them to have a conversation like men, instead of resorting to childish tactics. Neither party is wrong here in my opinion, but it shows clear differences in character.

Dude what ya smokin’? You don’t get up in anyone’s face and then grab their helmet like you demand their attention! He’s lucky Jason didn’t punch him in his big ol neck. Jason showed restraint by riding away and not throttling Jett.

@@chad6504 you act like that's the first thing he did. he didnt touch his helmet until AFTER Jason tried to ride away disrespectfully. Jett looked to be saying something like "what the fuck man you were blocking me" to which Jason appeared to rudely respond to and tried to run away. you would have been pissed too

Someone else shouldn’t apologize for something he (Jett) did. That’s my only issue with this “altercation”. He’s still young & has raced his entire life. Perhaps he was home schooled, so he may not have the social skills of the average person. Idk lol… if Jett truly regrets it than he should’ve apologized to Ando in person but I don’t think this incident warrants booing or applause when he crashes.

Jett needs to learn and I like Jett. I know Jett has good people around him but I hope he has the right people around him. Not saying he doesn’t but you got to have that dog like Ricky had to keep pushing for championship while making millions. Jett has made so much money off the rip I hope it don’t get to his head and screw the rest of his career game. He is not 20 yet and to have all this pressure is crazy

The people that surround Jett, should explain to him that he is a 20 year old, highly paid professional athlete and tell him to watch his sh!t and, when he messes up, make it right. He needs to quit speaking about the track crew and others like he is the head of Feld or Racer-X. Just show people respect like a man.

I wish the interviewer would just shut up and let the interviewee talk. We do not care to hear what the interviewer's interpretation of what happened is while the interviewee is right there. Just ask questions, and let the interviewees answer. Don't make the interview about you. We don't care what you think.
