UPDATE: Apparently it is important to use the lens profile for the best stabilisation result but you can turn the Lens Correction down if you don't want so much fisheye correction.

To be honest I would not go to the extra effort of stabilising footage. I prefer actual view with part of the plane included.

@@AndrewNewton Yes, I know what you mean, but having the option to stabilise is nice. The other thing is weight, size and price....🤔😳😳🇬🇧

You need the lens profile for the stabilization to work correctly. Without lens profile you can get odd warping effects. If you want to keep the lens distortion then from rc5 onwards you can set the "lens correction strength" on the right to 0%.

Nice video! Played around a lot with the thumb an Gyroflow. I'm in planes too but with a motor I have the problem that the gyro data is quite dirty (yes prop balanced) and there's a kind of jitter on the edges in the stabilized footage. Turned down the smoothness to 0.15 and lens correction to 0.5 to get a more "natural" look. Still not too happy with the results but it kinda works.

How does this camera handle vibration? I pretty much gave up recording video because of jello.

Balance the prop and motor? (use APC).

@@prep0wer Multirotors with small tri-blades are harder to balance. I've even built a dynamic prop balancer to get them really dialed in, but in the end you clip a branch or pick up some dirt and it's all for nothing.

@@kennyinuk5420 You can search where you unzipped or install the Gyroflow. Here is an example "D:\DOWNLOADS\Gyroflow-windows64 (2)\camera_presets" It's in Camera Presents folder

Good grief. I'm SOOO out of touch. I've got a teenaged single-core Windows XP PC that can only edit a 1080p video file one frame at a time (yes, literally) and which couldn't run any modern software even if it would load; I've got no idea what's going on in the world; I couldn't afford one of today's fancy high definition cameras as used by everyone, everywhere; I haven't seen any TV since 2009 because I can't afford the licence; I can't 'do' quads or on-board video stuff because I refuse to register for or pay the UK's RC hobby tax (which is evil and wrong)... Life-wise and hobby-wise, I'm a superannuated mess. But... you know what? I don't care. I still design, build and fly sub-250g RC models; I watch great Channels like Andrew's on my crummy little tablet to get a glimpse of what proper people are doing; I don't miss TV because KZfaq has more interesting content; and I still muck about with KAP and KAV because it's fun. Yes, it's primitive; yes, it's difficult; but I like it. KAV is quiet and relaxing; I make my own kites; I write and make my own music and create weird little videos. It's always good to see Andrew's latest stuff, but I'm not sure I'd swap what I've got now for what the leading-edge peeps are getting up to. Is it politically incorrect to say that you're happy with your lot in life? 🤔 Whatever. I'm happy.

I still have a main computer running on XP. Still works great. The problems started when I needed some software for Video editing. I opted for Win10. The OS is free...I used an older 3Ghz AMD CPU Desktop and invested afew $$ in a Mid end Graphics card. That's my special RC/Video/iNav computer for less than $400 Cnd.
