Dresses without lining and coating more than $15 is INSANE. As someone has been sewing for years these companies need to be called out more for not finishing products and selling them at whole price

Over the years, H&M is a bit of a hit and miss. I had really good things that lasted for years. And then other times they broke after 3 washes. But the quality does seem to be getting worse! Especially for the price!

Wow, H&M got expensive for what they make, and it's still walmart quality. The point of going to H&M was it's affordable for lower wage workers (or it was affordable, $78 for that is insane.

This reminds me of shopping with my aunt when I was younger at Ross. She would always look at the details of clothing like loose threads, tears, etc and would take them to the counter point then out and ask for a discount. She’s 70% of the time get it discounted without being able to return and would fix them at home.

They used to have good styles, decent fabrics and relatively affordable in my country, now they looks like plastic and not worth the prices.. So sad to see that

H&M is LOSING their mind. They're marking up un-lined dresses made of kitchen rags that used to go for 3 euros on sale a few years ago that now are 11 euros ON LAST SALE. The first dress with all the snagging is how I feel when shopping, I end up just buying a basic cotton tube dress at the end of the day because of so much weird crap out there. The prices are shocking to me these days .. I still grab some decent basics but refuse to spend more than $35 or $40 in this store now. Hardly anything is worth it anymore.

I went to H&M recently after not having shopped there for a couple years as their business pants were affordable, durable, and used to fit me like a glove. I found TWO items of decent quality that fit me and the one that was on sale was also unlined. Most of the items were early SHEIN level trash (based on observations of what friends had purchased). Items were made of mostly synthetic fabric that was paper thin and looked as if it had been worn in for over 10 yrs and/or had horrible unflattering cuts and were sewn terribly. So sad. Looks like I can only rely on thrifting for affordable business casual now.

Idk what happened to them, growing up I spent my summers in Sweden with my grandma and at the end she always took me there to get back to school clothes. She took me there because they were CHEAP but the clothes were actually decent and lasted me easily all year and more (usually just grew out of them). I was so excited when they came to my city in the states. Granted I was 7-16 yrs old then and am 36 now so this was awhile ago but it still sucks to see they have gone downhill.

Not even trying to be ugly, but i would shop target or Walmart before seriously shopping at hm. Not only is hm very cheap in quality, the styles they sell are very ugly. No one wants their budget glam shyt.

Some items in H&M’s premium range that you can see on the app are good - I’ve bought 90-100% wool trousers and cotton jeans from there and they’re great for the price: more expensive than their standard ranges but less than the typical brands who do such quality garments that are out of my price bracket. But their main range is terrible. Why are they so popular?

I’ve been cleaning out some clothes I had in storage from the early 90’s..the quality is so much better from the fabric, to the design, everything. Makes me sad honestly that we’re getting so swindled now.

Some H&M items are pretty good quality. I've had a cotton skirt from Basics since 2016 and it keeps its shape great and barely peels.

I bought one jacket about 8 years ago from h&m that was really well made, but every other time I've looked in there the clothes have been both really poorly made and of the most appalling fabrics.

I never had problems with H&M and I have bought lots of clothing and shoes from H&M my whole life, but I buy it online instead of the shop.

I think they deliberately don't line stuff anymore to force you to buy extra garments to wear underneath.

Fast fashion doesn’t offer quality for the price the items are listed at. It’s very difficult to find something decent, even in Zara. They try to provide the “look” at the cheapest price possible, without the hefty price tag but it’s not even worth the retail price. Italian and French designers and mid range stores far better quality than high street stores. At times, you get things for the same price or less.

Why even buy there, when they giving money to fund a geno cide?
