Combining Punk with Beatles melodies - true inventors. Godfathers of Grunge! . RIP Grant

And emo as well! They built the foundation of emo with Zen Arcade! Such a great truly underrated band!
@sonikku9563 жыл бұрын
@@mraaronhd It's interesting how they aren't considered emocore, yet their raw, heart on sleeve emotional post-hardcore sound on that album influenced many emo bands.

For any reason I see here Grant Hart and think on Dave Ghrol. Why the hell isn't Grant as famous and praised as Dave? He's a fuk'n genius, has tremendous drum skills and can even sing very well whilst drummin'. FUCK THAT! Grant Hart should be on that pedestal instead of the foo fighter. Not disrespect intended for Ghrol,

Great comment- I think he would’ve been praised more had there been social media but it was flyers, word of mouth and mix tapes that spread the magic of these incredible bands that came of 80s America.

Just imagine this album was done in one take including this song. I was listening to Chris Jericho’s podcast and they had Mould on talking wrestling stuff. When he said Husker Du. I had to go back in my memory bank. I admit this band flew over my head when I started playing guitar and music in the late 80’s. Then find out these guys were from my hometown. I think my family knows Greg (Henry Sibley) and Grant (SSP) as they went to high school with them

87 I was 7, and all there was in the radio was freakin hair metal crap. I had to wait until 1992 to listen to bands like Nirvana, Pearl Jam, etc., that would eventually take me back to Husker Du, and Dinosaur Jr. and The Replacements. Until this day it amazes me that music like this was being played in the 80’s.

Going out each day to score, she was no whore before me Celebrating every day the way she thought it should be And I don't know what to do Now that pink has turned to blue She was always by my side and never tried to leave Standing up for me and like a tree for what she believed And I don't know what to do Now that pink has turned to blue No more rope and too much dope, she's lying on the bed Angels pacing, gently placing roses 'round her head And I don't know what to do Now that pink has turned to blue
