Most mechs aren’t man enough for Snap On tools. All the butt hurt snowflakes complaining about Snap On prices are prime examples of who can’t handle a working man’s tools. Lol

One of the dumbest comment's I have heard in a good while. At the end of the day the customer does not care what brand tools are used to work on their vehicles. If you want to pay tool truck prices you go right ahead. That is your choice. Doesn't make a man any less if he uses any other brand tool.

I've broken almost as many Snap-On tools as I have other brands. They have good ideas on their tools, and the "finish" looks a better quality, but at the end of the day, most of their tools have the same materials and qualities as any other tools. After all, I can't hit a 1/2" drive Snap-On ratchet with a 4Lb sledge without it breaking, but I did it with a Gearwrench multiple times.

Right because the tools you use is what makes you a man. This moron is obviously trying to compensate for his overwhelming shortcomings in his pants, just another dipshit trying to justify his $30000 debt to the tool truck. All of these tool trucks are the payday lenders of the tool world, selling overpriced tools that you can get anywhere else for much cheaper and bank on idiots like comcfi to buy their crap. I use hand tool day in day out and have never stepped foot into one of these trucks....never will.

First off … my respect to all those that turn a wrench for a living. A doctor works on a human body that has not changed for as long as whatever theology you subscribe to; a mechanic works on any number of makes and models that change every few months. I really dislike using a 'back in the day' reference, but memory serves I had to buy a lot of tools to keep up. I had (still have) an extensive (and expensive) collection of tools … Snap-On and 'the rest'. I turned a pretty fair wrench and was trusted by the customers in my small shop. What ruined it for me, and why I chose another path in life, was the particular customer set that invaded Boca Raton in the 70's and pretty much sucked the life out of an honest person trying to make a living. But I digress … Snap-On … the reps will let you go in to any level of debt you choose as long as you make that weekly payment. Mechanics are not stupid, but a lot of them, as this sophomoric video indicates, feel the need to own the finest (Snap-On is not) in order to deliver the finest. I saw the word 'predator' in another comment and that pretty well describes the Snap-On rep business model. What really sealed my opinion on their after-the-fact support occurred just recently. After contacting Snap-On for warranty consideration on a collection of screw drivers where the handles had all 'dissolved' over the years, I was instructed to approach one of the local trucks in my geography. I approached two of them, and as I did not show up on their customer list, I was politely shown the door. And I won't bore anyone with the old adage that Craftsman will guarantee everything for life; even with Sears out of the business, that still remains true. Yet the Craftsman screwdriver handles didn't crumble. I bought those before I could afford Snap-On. Now, me not being man enough to own 100% Snap-On, well, that's another discussion.

All in all. snap on might make nice tools. But owning expesive tools doesnt make you a good mechanic. Ading too that, Id rather own cheap tools that get the job done just the same as ones 5 times the cost, spend that money i saved on buying exspensive tools on something else. These guys are just crooks taking advantage of new mechanics (or bad mechanics who buy exspensive tools too make themselves think there good mechanics) and when they realise thre not good mechanics and dont get any work or things slow down. (From what i have read) come and take everything thats got the name "snap-on" branded on it. Wether its paided for not. Im not a mechanic, even if i was. Ill stick to buying cheap tools. And spend the extra money on the specialty tools.

@matthew boyko Coming from a guy who has no mechanical experience. Wow. Until you actually get in the trade and work on multiple vehicles trucks and machines, each and every model will have a job that is an arse of place to get into, no other tool trucks or companies make the specialty tools required that get into those places better than Snap on does. In the end it saves you time makes the job faster making you more profitable as a mechanic.

I used to always wish Snap-on reps would be more open to stopping at residential garages. SO much business being missed. I just order right from the website any more. You used to have to wait 'til you spotted the truck at a local garage, then BEG the driver for a print catalog, then try to catch up with them to order, etc. Tons of people work on their own cars and have hobby vehicles and would be willing to buy better tools. Snap-on is still the best, though.

If you repossess the tools does the mechanic have to pay anything on top or is the dept written off when the tools are repossessed ?
@Haasltools
@Haasltools 5 жыл бұрын
The value of what is repossessed is written off. Depends on age, condition etc. I had one guy make two $20 payments on a brand new tool box, quit his job, laid it down in the back of his pickup and dented and scratched it all up. No way that box still had the value of new to write off the balance.

Most of the time it’s a mutual thing. $hit hits the fan and they lose their job or whatever and me and them work it out to get it picked up.

Awesome! The only thing I still can't get over is the intro! It's the same music from the bigger pockets podcast lol ! Still awesome stuff, I subscribed and gave a like! You can see my KRL series box in some of my videos! That bad boy and all the snap on that's inside of it is paid in full! Our rep wants me to upgrade but I've fought off the desire to keep from that payment again! No repoing going down here!
